The longer we dither, the more likely that a wolfpire will slip up and expose himself.

That is not a compelling reason, which is why I'm not rescinding my vote.

If every starting position can get to the opposite side in the same amount of time, then I would hide my Ship Of Wolves on either A or J. I think it's at least as "obvious" a choice as F, so I'm going to vote for H1, since this spot is in echo-range of both F and J. (Plus, if there are no pings, we know they didn't start in the bottom half of the board, and we can positively confirm that their Day 2 position is not in rows H, I, or J.)

Guys, I think strategically, F1 is a terrible spot for the wolfpires. The Radar Guy will be automatically notified when they stay the course in a straight line for two turns in a row, so if they stay the course on row F, Radar Guy will be notified of their movement direction. The other two options the mafia have, starting from F1, are not super good for them - either they can lose days by cutting around the islands or slowing down and taking a 90 degree turn, OR they can risk going through the islands. Maybe they're willing to take a chance at taking damage? It's not a terrible course, really. And the longer they stay on the board, the more opportunities that we have to suss them out, either by logic and deduction or through powered town roles. But if they're going to do that, I think they'd rather take the 10% chance than the 20%, so starting at G1 and veering upwards night one is the way to do that without losing time.

tl;dr, if we accept they're going to take the risky middle road gambit, I think they'd start at G1.

Now I really want F1 because as people have been saying it's as likely as anything, plus now it means knowing Gahitsu is a wolf if we score a hit.

I don't see an argument, just a presentation of logic for a better target. You're right in that any shot today probably isn't going to land Geo. But if there's even a snippet of logic in narrowing down a possibility for a better shot, why wouldn't you take that? Do you disagree with gahitsu's reasoning?

I think that there are enough routes that it profits the wolves to do a straight line that [G:1] doesn't have any particular advantages over [F:1]. The wolves of course, are looking to see which of our innocent powers need to be removed or sabotaged to keep themselves safe.

I'm a little vague on the rules. By "red area" do you mean the wolves need to make it to [D-G:10]. Or do you mean that they must move "off" of the map?

If they end their move in D10-G10, they win.  Unless they get blown up by mines or bombs that night.

Night Roles.  If you're using a night action, send it in within 24 hours.  Every passive information role will receive a report by the start of Day 2.
