Frewdward has been pretty whatevs about every single lynch, and as Friday said were down to the wire. I only called out kayma to hear what people thought and admittedly everyone voted a litlte too hastily. I find Fredwards lack of care in the voting suspicious.

So, a vampire, a werewolf and the vigilante walk into a bar. The vigilante says, "Fuck."

Funny, I can only lose now, but I still hold all the power. :glee: Well, you bastards are just going to have to lynch me, because I'll be damned if I'm going to let either of you scum-suckers win!

(also I want to see what happens in the case of a tie -- arm-wrestling match, maybe?)

The last innocent player, Fredward, is hung up by his legs by two very not-human survivors.

He was The Vigilante.

With him out of the way, both Lyrai and Envy turn to look at each other.

Night roles.

<Friday|sleepy> Ok, this is it.
<Friday|sleepy> I need your night actions.
* Shana bites her teeth, and prays for no Fog Machine/Dampening Field (whichever one would cancel her bane) or Thief's Glove
<Shana> Night Action of the Vampire Crew: I bane myself, and dig up Brentai's grave, securing the Voting Box and the Intercepter.
<Friday|sleepy> k
<Shana> After that, I nightkill: Nobody.
<Friday|sleepy> k

**************************

<Friday|sleepy> Alright, I need your night actions.
<Envy> I need to know can I use thiefs glove and do a night kill or
<Friday|sleepy> yeah.
<Friday|sleepy> you can do both.
<Envy> Thiefs Glove Lyrai and attempt to kill.
<Friday|sleepy> k

**************************

Lyrai and Envy meet in the center of Midgar. The many voices of its people have gone silent.

The many corpses of its people hang like flags and streamers from every street corner.

Many of them having been put there but Lyrai and Envy alike. But this isn't about them, anymore.

This is about Vampire. Versus. Werewolf.

Lyrai smiles. "Hello, Envy. It seems that wolves go first during the night. And it seems I've got my wolfsbane preventing you from hurting me. AND it seems I've got a little supersonic canine projectile. AND IT SEEMS YOU ARE FUCKED, MY CANINE FRIEND."

Envy wordlessly hurls himself at Lyrai, shattering her protection permanently, but leaving her unharmed.

Lyrai waits confidently. Her eyes roam the horizon, watching for Interceptor.

Envy smiles and holds up his Thief's Glove and Interceptor.

Lyrai's smile vanishes as Envy hurls himself at her once more, tearing into her soft, vampire flesh. Her screams are like music to his ears.

Finally he stands triumphant, alone, over her mutilated body, the blood streaming from his maw and claws.

He throws back his head.

"ENVY WAS RUBY WEAPON," he bellows.

Aw, crap.

I knew (too late) that I should have contacted Brentai in private, promised to turn him in exchange for turning around the bandwagon on me, then turned him that night. Vampire victory, 4/7.

why didn't I do that

Brentai, for getting Interceptor into our hands, I declare you an honorary vampire.

Zara, thanks so much for making me a vampire. I loved my tenure as Dracula 2.

DNi, thank you for telling Zara and me that you were the weretiger. We wouldn't have even had a chance had you not done that.

Kazz, thanks for scrying Lyrai the night I turned you. You were the foundation upon which the late game's strategy was built.

Lyrai, thank you for carrying us through to the end.

Brickroad, thanks for putting Interceptor in the ground with your body.

And above all, I wish to thank Friday for running this amazing game that we didn't win but we totally should have.

Also fuck you Envy for winning without realizing why. It's much more tolerable to lose to a worthy opponent.

Can someone explain what happened behind the scenes because this sounds crazy and I only got to see the inno block (that was totally infiltrated go vamps).

I stopped keeping track of the behind the scenes stuff after night 1, because I'm lazy, so sorry.

Basically, Kazz got turned the same night he scried you, and started manipulating the bloc toward vampire ends.

[replying to Lyrai]

No. It's not that simple.

Envy has an amazing gift. When it really matters, he finds a way to always do almost exactly the right thing, even if it is for the wrong reasons. There've been four or five times since I died where I just wanted to grab him by the lapels and shake him because he wasn't doing what I would be doing—but I wouldn't say anything, and watched with growing impatience and awe as he coasted to an easy victory.

Envy is the omega savant. He is one of the best players this board has ever seen.

I had no idea what was going on ever, and it was glorious.

Also my only goal for the endgame was to call Brentai a chucklehead, but I forgot to do it. So not only did I lose, but I left the game with my dream unfulfilled.

Still, though, pretty glorious.
