So this new Spider-Man game is looking better and better. They revealed the last Dimension (Ultimate, of course, but in the symbiont) to go along with Amazing, Noir (which is reported to play a lot like Batman: Arkham Asylum) and 2099 (which the developers have described by saying "We basically just put Spider-Man into the city from Bladerunner) and now this tidbit from G4's SDCC coverage:

Quote
Neil Patrick Harris, who lent his voice to the iconic web-slinger in 2003’s “Spider-Man: The New Animated Series,” will portray Amazing Spider-Man. The other three versions of Spidy will be voiced by Josh Keaton (Ultimate), Christopher Barnes (Noir), and Dan Gilvezan (2099).

Like Neil Patrick Harris, each of the other actors have played Spider-Man in various animated series. Keaton starred in “The Spectacular Spider-Man” from 2008-2009, Gilvezan was in “Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends” from 1981-1983, and Barnes appeared in 1994’s “Spider-Man.”

Spider-Man creator, and all around badass, Stan Lee will also lend his voice to Shattered Dimensions as the game’s narrator, while the game’s orchestral score is being created by Emmy Award-winning composer Jim Dooley.

Holy balls, fellas, I might actually have to purchase a fucking Spider-Man game.

I just read both Noir arcs, so maybe I'm nerding out a little more than I should, but it really does look great.

Here's all the dimensions in action for anyone who hasn't seen it.

To be fair, Spider-Man was the only thing readable out of the whole 2099 thing.

I think the only thing that I liked anywhere in 2099 was that Mutants had become so common that a bunch of them had totally worthless abilities, so they had all the negatives of being a mutant, without the AWESOME SUPERPOWERS positive.

I think that was part of the entire last ten years of actual X-Men continuity too

More like almost since the beginning. That's like the whole gimmick for the Morlocks. Only a few of them have any real power.

See, I haven't read any of that.

Because my DC/Marvel comic buying days were the first half of the 90's.

They literally just reskinned Sagat as Jin and played Ryu's rival cutscene there.

This whole thing is just going to be one big recycle bin.

I was a lot more excited when the possibility of using Dig Dug in a fighting game existed.

Fuck you, Namco.

You'd think they'd at least bring in their other, better 3D fighting series.

Or just make it company wide, like CvS.

Well yes, that's what we all thought they were going to do.  I'd have no problem watching Klonoa beat up Akuma.

But just Tekken... man, I don't even know who the audience is for Tekken.  Like if KoF is for latinos and Soul Calibur is for cosplayers, Tekken is for, I dunno, people who think the WWF needs more anime in it.

it gets screen time at Evo still, so I guess there are fighting game pros that see something in it, but I still hold that Virtua Fighter is better in every regard except character design. Not that Tekken's are good, just that Virtua Fighter's are uniformly bland.
