...no, that's it, fuck all that jazz.  I'm boycotting retro until it stops being the next bullet time or sandbox or whatever.  Even the indie retro games.  Grow up and get some fucking resolutions.

Actually, every time I sit down and do pixel art for some new game I'm going to abandon making in a  month, it's always "retro".  Not because I'm trying to be hip or anything, but because art can be made quickly and look fine with it.

In fairness, Game Center CX started that gangsta shit, and also they actually put a ton of effort and detail into it rather than just crapping out some lame IWBTG ripoff on WiiWare coughSEGAcough

I could not stop playing RGC all day yesterday.  Until I unlocked Guadia Quest and realized I am not in the mood to play an NES RPG even the tiniest bit.

I am mostly done with it but i broke away to play lots and lots and lots of Haggleman 3. Oh god, Haggleman 3. This game is shinobi meets ninja gaiden meets Super Metroid. It's emblematic of every game in RGC in that if it had been released when i was ten years old, i would have spent months playing it sunup to sundown.

Apparently, when you unlock Guadia Quest in Free Play, you have to start over at the beginning. I was really excited to unlock the full version, but it's bullshit to have to play about halfway through the RPG first.

I like Guadia Quest, but it'll probably be a while before I want to start over. Other than that, my only other complaint is Rally King
especially because you have to play it twice. At least I could cheat like crazy.
I'm usually not too keen on the Dragon Quest series, on account of it sucking, but 5's getting some decent marks and word has it you can recruit monsters to do your bidding. Are we talking anything we damn well see, or just this goofy lot of rejects?

Because Slime aside, these monsters are sucking some serious D.

I have come to the conclusion that if you don't enjoy RGC, you should probably just play Imagine: Petz

THAD EDIT: Stupid misuse of spoiler tagged removed; has not become any more funny or clever since the last time some idiot used it.

I meant a side-scroller on the DS, but that would also be a great idea!

maybe that one can be Haggleman 4 and the DS one can be Haggleman: Dark Something

Haggleman: Dark Something

As long as that's literally "Something" and not a placeholder for some other S-word.

DAMN SHIT!!!

The DS Haggleman is a relaunch of the 2D series that turns it into a metroidvania
