Customer "Service"

Quote from: TL;DR
At the end of the vacation, at the last minute, we decided to get a room in San Fran and have a nice dinner with friends rather than drive home (a 3 hour drive) and used Travelocity.com to book the room.

We got to the hotel at 8pm.

Three hours later we finally got our rooms after arguing on 1) the phone 2) the internet and 3) in the hotel lobby for THREE FUCKING HOURS.

We missed dinner, and had to stay in San Fran anyway because it was too late to go home regardless. The bad customer service (somehow) simultaneously necessitated and invalidated our reason for staying in one swoop. Also, at midnight, they woke us up to move us to another room because of a pipe problem.

That's right. After three hours of arguing, they very easily had room to switch both me and my friends to ENTIRELY OTHER, EMPTY rooms, making me wonder if they weren't just playing some kind of practical joke because they hate tourists.

Now, the BBB hasn't gotten back to me yet on whether or not Travelocity.com holds any liability. I suspect they might (possibly) not. Regardless, they offered me $100 off my next trip. That tells me there may be precedent for blaming them. Failing that, I'd like them to help me get my money back.

Update: Got a $60 refund... half what I paid. Good enough? ...Time will tell.
