Haha, thanks a bunch, guys.

I really need to find a good tutorial for drawing bodies, something that goes pretty in-depth.

There are anatomy books made specifically for artists. Not sure how helpful they'd be, but it's worth a shot!

I have a good anatomy book for art, actually, But I find it easier to learn if I have someone show me the tricks, I guess, Like my success with drawing heads lately is due to this.

How to Draw the Head from Any Angle

It's a really good little tutorial, so simple, too.

I know she's on a bit of a lean, it musta been the angle I drew it at, and I can't really fix that. I learned an important lesson when drawing people, you need to plan out where the arms and hands are gonna be beforehand or it screws you over really bad, or looks really awkward. I am really happy with this! I feel like practicing faces and heads so much has really helped with drawing in general.

Those hips don't lie.

Yes. A very important thing I learned from the Burne Hogarth books on anatomy (which you should check out!) is that you should plan the pose in steps: torso, legs, arms and head. The torso defines the pose. It's where everything else grows out of.

I know i've been drawing sakura a lot, but she's the easiest one for me to draw lately, I tend to go through phases with my characters.

I am starting to feel like I'm getting a more solid drawing style going, I still have a lot of trouble with stuff like hands, but I am getting more consistent in how i draw bodies. Like usually i'll start and give up a few times before a drawing, but now I pretty much can draw any time I attempt to draw, which is a big change.

I honestly think I might be ready to start on a comic in a couple of months If I can keep this rate up, Maybe I should start trying to do one-page stuff to practice.

Nice! I don't think I've seen you draw that angle before.

My pencil was screwing up a heap while I was drawing this, it was annoying, it kept going all wonky.I got the head position wrong, too.

I've always had trouble with faces in profile, so I figured it'd be a good thing to practice, I also thought i'd try draw a more complicated hand than usual, too. It's still difficult, there's so many different parts to hands.

Oooh, now draw her taking a puff on the cigar. That's a tricky expression!

I wanted to try draw the same face again from a different angle, I have a lot of trouble with consistency in faces, though.
