Is there some way to make this game always daytime? Every time I give this game another chance I get stuck trying to build my house in the middle of the night and my eyes want to stab themselves and then me.

You can make a bed and sleep in it, which effectively skips time until the next morning.

That, or make more torches. Now that charcoal can be made from logs there's no reason not to light everything up like fiery monochromatic christmas trees.

It's easy to build an emergency house from a stack of dirt. When it starts to get dark, create a wall around a 2x2 area, so a square of 4 blocks a side. Make it two blocks tall and jump up to place a block on top of the wall, then build a roof from that. Stick up a torch and you're done.

The whole thing takes 25 blocks and protects against everything. Punch out a hole in the ceiling when you want to check for daylight. If you need a bigger base, just dig a spiral staircase down below ground level and create an underground bunker.

What's Notch been doing, you ask? Porting it to Android.

That better not be exclusive to the Xperia Play.

It doesn't really matter. I do not have a keyboard for my phone. No mobile minin' or craftin' for me.

Things frequently have onscreen input options.  The various emulators and whatnot out there for Android use screen keyboards.

Yeah. I tend to find those a little too... touchy. (pun somewhat intended)
I tend to move my thumbs a lot and that's not good for onscreen d-pads.

Oh yeah don't update to 1.6 yet. It's gigantic bug-filled clusterfuck.

Download the new client that lets you opt out of auto-updates before you log on.

If anyone is still playing in zanzibar land, I've fixed some ladders and borrowed some obsidian so I could continue building more nether portals. Also, made it really far out into the middle of nowhere with cannon that it generated tall grass.

The server is still not updated to the later 1.6.6 version I don' think.

Also, fixed the fort by the spawn cause the creepers were doing a number on it and witnessed a creeper on the glass walkway.

Just a heads up: I temporarily replaced Bigshell with a new survival map. Once people get tired of it/ people clamor for bigshell back enough I will put it back to normal. Also since Brentai never got back to me about a third minecraft server for this, if he ever does make me another ip for a minecraft server would anyone like a modded out server? I saw that there are some crazy server mods out there, like airplanes and stuff.

I would complain, but bigshell was broken in many ways since the last update, so :(
