Gaming Discussion / Warioware D.I.Y.

 :perfect: I noticed that there wasn't a thread about it so I up and made one. :perfect:

What is it?
It's a Warioware game in which you can make your own micro games.

What is it for?
The DS, there is no need for a DSi at all.

Are there pre-made games available?
Why, yes, there are 90 some-odd games, all of them made with the game creation tools so you can see how they were made and use their resources.

But what is "Warioware"?
You haven't played a warioware game before?

no.
Well, its a collection of short 3-4 second games in which you try to complete as many micro games as you can with four lives.

Does it do anything else?
Why, yes it does.

What?
Much like Mario Paint you can create your own music, and you can also create your own 4cammas (sp?).

Can I share with my games/music/comics with my friends?
Of course you can.

But what if my friends are terrible at making games?  Will I be forced to play the same games over and over?
No!  Nintendo has partnered with veteran and indie game developers in order to create new micro games for you to download in addition to new ones offered by Nintendo.

Why am I asking QUESTIONS?
I don't know, now go away.

I wonder if anyone else has been playing, I'm really digging making games, but I don't really have anyone to share them with.

I submit for your enjoyment another suggestion.

Neanderthals torch:
Class: pyro
Slot: melee
- The torch, when not on fire does:
- -50% Damage normally
- When hitting a lit opponent the torch lights
- Lit torch does:
- 150% damage
- Lights opponent on fire, refreshes burn duration
- Slight increase in speed
- Torch burns out after sixty seconds, cumulative with own progress bar
- Putting the torch away puts it out

- Alt fire, while burning: Blow out torch
- Alt fire, while out: Refresh kindling (takes roughly as long as a taunt with the same properties)

- Torch can be lit without hitting enemy, but:
- The flame is weaker so it still does -50% damage
- No speed bonus
- Burn remaining bar still decreases at the normal rate
- Still sets players on fire, allowing the pyro to activate the full effect

Two Serious suggestions, both melee:

Soldier
Name: The In-Hand Grenade
-Melee slot
-Think: potato masher
-Lower than normal damage
(BUT!)
-When a critical hit lands on an enemy it  explodes doing splash damage to the soldier, his target and any enemy unfortunate to be that close
-After it explodes the range is significantly shorter and he can't crit with it until a bar fills up, ala the baseball and jarate at which point the soldier tosses the remainder of the grenade aside and grabs a new one.
-Personally if the soldier dies during an explosion he should have an animation where he's been blackend by the explosion and he faints, you know what I mean.  Also he should scream while running around with it.

Scout
Name: Thieving Mitts
-Melee slot
-Doesn't even need a special model, should just be the scout sans weapon
-Very short range, roughly the speed of the bat, but not as much damage and can't crit
-On hit the scout steals a portion of the enemies ammo
-Giving the scout 25% ammo back
-New gauge tells how many times he's stolen
-Alt fire; scout drops an ammo crate equivalent to how much the scout has stolen
== once - small (25%)
== twice - medium (50%)
== four times(a lady) - large (100%)
-Left over "steals" remain, but there's a short cool down before he can drop ammo again
-Hitting with this weapon give NO visual or audio clue that they've been hit save the loss of health
(HOWEVER!)
-Since the scout is a colloquial (not the word I was looking for, but somehow fitting, thank you spell check) dick, the second hit on the same target within five or so seconds triggers a line loudly mocking the class he's stealing from

Here's a totally not serious suggestion:
Scout: Springshoes
-Pistol  replacement.
-No double jump.
-But jumps higher every consecutive jump until the scout stops jumping.
-Max height about as high as a rocket jump.

OK Seriously though:
Pyro: Oilslick canister
-Melee weapon replacement
-Altfire Drops a pool of oil under the pyro that: a) doesn't slip players b) can be set on fire to burn a few seconds damaging anyone who crosses it.
-Recharges after 30 seconds.
-Slight speed reduction.
