Wait wait, how many people do we have left here? Really think we want to avoid killing non things to prove stuff when every night a new person is a thing anyway. I really feel like dynamite should be reserved for being thrown at people we actually suspect of being an alien and not just to prove guilt of remaining players or we are gonna lose this. I mean, am I crazy or does that seem obvious to everyone?

So unless you have some sort of fool proof mathematical plan for this to work, I really don't think someone should just dynamite you.

Friday, can we get a recap on who is alive and where the votes lie?

Oh, there's 4 dynamites. I thought there was only 2 like the flamethrowers. My mistake.

Okay... So the Things did make the most obvious choice and turn Fuchs last night, fuck. Well at least we still have the two flame throwers and an other dynamite.

Someone wanna light Fuchs up on your way to bed tonight, thanks.

They keep me regular you damn hippie. Now take off that damn hat, it's the only thing that makes your character not the coolest horror movie character ever.

I really think we shouldn't test me now, I'm a pretty bad Thing target. Really I think it would have been someone inconspicuous like MacReady or Windows last turn who got turned, especially with Mac bandwagoning on me.

What was so weird about my actions around Childs?! I suspected him as part of a first round shake out strategy and then he did stuff that made me not suspect him anymore. What is your damage, Copper?

I really do want to see what Garry is. I think he's one of the originals.

Now just hold on a minute, I may be a little violent, hell lets face it, crazy since we found out about these Things; but the obvious Thing target and the most suspicious person here want to dynamite or test me?

I really do suggest Bennings or Garry over me as a test target but I agree entirely with Copper.

If you look at the rest of the posts you only quote parts of, I explain my reasoning pretty much every time. I think you've been too quiet and have only been making little posts where you don't seem to express any real reason for suspicions.

Your accusations against Childs now are the first real HUMAN-like playing I've seen you do all game. So you Norris, Garry and Bennings are all very supicious to me.

Childs may have been turned, but so could have anyone. I'm comforted by the fact though, that Childs rarely points the finger at anyone randomly, and usually just talks about strategies for finding the Things in general. It's the same reason I trust Fuchs.

Also yeah, don't start voting until we use the rando-test at least and probably not until after Fuchs dynamites.

I'd rather test Copper, Bennings or Garry for only being active ENOUGH to avoid suspicion.

If you want Norris tested, then I say we get him to self test to prove he's not a thing and then use the vote test on one of those guys.

I'm thinking... Copper?

Look, we've got to at least TRY to find two things in one day, that or one of the flamethrowers has gotta be a better blind vigilante than he was last night or we aren't going to kill these bastards.

That and, we have to try to shake out a mistake, a flub somewhere among some of the weaker Thing players so that if it comes down to do or die, we can start just shooting and throwing and hopefully have enough to go on that we get it right. Remember the Things will be stressing a little at that point too, being so close to victory.

With all that in mind, I think we should still be trying some of the more quiet players, I really do think either Gary, Copper, Bennings or Norris is one of the first two Things or maybe is one now anyway.

How do you figure it has to be one of you guys? The Things could have gotten anyone.

I think that Fuchs claiming his dynamite this early was a little dumb btw, he's a prime target for assimilation now, though I guess we do have an other dynamite and two flamethrowers and this is good way for him to remove himself as a test target. But was it really worth it? I found you to be pretty trustworthy and honestly, I don't think I would have assimilated you already if I was the Things, too predictable since you were so active on day one.

Well I'm sorry but I have diabetes and this is the first day of a wolf game. Excuse me for communicating my general level of uncertainty in a game where no one knows what roles anyone is nor who they even are in general!

I think I actually agree with your logic there:

If I have the test, I'm Human and I test myself, that proves that I am Human.

If I have the test, I'm Human, and I test someone else, then I prove that they are Human or The Thing.

If I have the test, I'm Thing and I refuse to test myself, that proves that I am Thing.

If I have the test, I'm Thing, and I test someone else, then I prove that they are Human or The Thing.

So it seems like in the majority of cases there, the random test will end up with at least a possibility of finding a Thing if not for sure identifying one if they refuse to test themselves. Only the first case results in for sure, no thing being found. This is assuming of course that we all play by the rule, test yourself unless asked otherwise.

I'm for this plan.

Trust in Childs++

Well I have a hunch that Palmer's early, seemingly random vote on MacReady was just an honest Human's attempt to see if he could attract bandwagoners. He found one in Nauls and then wham he tested him, suspecting anyone who sided with a random vote like that to be a Thing.

A reasonable plan, but I don't like how he didn't listen to the conversation and suggestions for how the dice granted test should be used. So I'm leaving my vote on him now, though I do suspect Dr. Copper more.

Damn it, I already destroyed the helicopters, the snowtrack and the radio AND killed all the dogs. What's everyone worried about, we just need to destroy the whole station and ourselves now and the Thing loses.

Now just untie me so I can get started.... no? Well fine, none of you know what's going on here anyway.

Fuchs and Window's math seems legit and doesn't seem to be goading us into any foolish choices, so I'm gonna go ahead and trust them a little for now until I catch one of them trying to lead us astray in a at all sloppy manner.

I don't like how Garry got off with seeming relatively quiet for so long and then posting something very reassuring that anyone could have posted. However, Palmer's acting real weird and his random foolish test and then pointless voting for MacReady has me a little worried. That said, he almost seems too suspicious, like he's an innocent who doesn't know what to do but has nothing to hide and so is saying a lot of stuff that would reveal a Thing. I mean Nauls voted for MacReady and he's human enough. But then maybe Palmer's just a sloppy Thing and Nauls a gullible Human.

Childs seems suspicious to me for making a dumb plan and then going pretty quiet but at least he's talking.

Bennings is being real quiet, but maybe he's just not around, we have honestly pretty much just been playing last night and only after 9pm or so. I don't know if we want to claim inactivity makes you a Thing. Bennings, Clark, Norris, and Copper Have all been pretty quiet. The first three almost completely, the latter more strategically.

My vote is for Dr. Copper but I think we should test Palmer as soon as possible with the next rando-test.

Actually on second thought, fine. Just test Palmer, he's weird.

But if he's Human it's gonna increase my suspicion of Childs and Copper.

Well I don't really like Mr. T's plan, and not just because I want to know what he did with the real Childs. Are Thing's all racist and think that all african american's say Mother Fucker and talk in jive all the time?! David doesn't do that, remember the spawn cartoon? Well, maybe he does say Mother Fucker sometimes...

Well actually, his failsafe plan "might" sort of make sense, but I'll have to think about the mathematics of it. How few people is few enough for you to want to failsafe it, Childs? It seems to me like the chance for a random dynamiter to hit a firebatflamethrower and really fuck over us humans is too high if the numbers get low and we know we still have one out there.

Plus, would a thing kill even clear a dynamite? If it's down to low numbers, maybe a dynamite Thing figures he can win if he clears himself for a turn and gets to assimilating that night too. What's worse is a human kill proves nothing either if no one knew who to throw at. It feels to me like that is giving too much power to the Things.

I'll run it through my Apple IIe style visual simulation software and see what the cute little pixely Human and Thing cells say, but it doesn't sound like much of a plan to me. I think when it gets to that point, smart assessment of the history of the game and of the attitudes of the remaining players sounds like a better idea to me than a random dynamite blow out.

You know what - and this isn't a race thing - maybe the mechanic at the antarctic station shouldn't be making the plans for a bunch of scientists!

That doesn't make me think you're a thing though, Childs. But I'm watching you; you and Clark.

WATCH CLARK

That's not a vote, he just says it like that in the movie.

Well Palmer, you were a Thing in the movie, you were a Thing in the last game too I believe, and I think I saw you smile a little when they locked me out in the equipment shed. So are you gonna test yourself and prove that you're not a Thing or are you just a quiet, chicken shit little alien! *RAWR*

Charges palmer with an axe before being restrained and sedated while screaming and muttering "He'll kill us, he'll copy all of us to get what he wants!"

Alright look, I'm all better now. I really am much better now. Now just untie me and we can talk about what worked well last game. Did the person with the test testing themselves end up proving that usefull before. I'm gonna check.

We can't hotlink avatars damn it! If this Thing gets off this station and onto the Internet, it'll infect all of humanity within 28 days!
