find a place that has price protection or matching or something and buy it and then go HEY WAIT GUYS I JUST BOUGHT THIS THING WHAT GIVES

I don't know where that would work locally.  But it's an awesome idea if I can find some place that does.  I will have to consider that.  I may just break down and buy one tomorrow--they haven't released anything I know about as far as colors go anywhere else, so I may be waiting for literally nothing.

I feel so torn.  I haven't gotten a 3DS because I was hoping they'd come out with new colors soon.  Come to find out, the 3DS is selling like butts, so they're about to put the retail price down to $170.  Now that sounds awesome to me, but then I read a little further, and it turns out if you bought the old-priced models, you are getting a ton of free stuff and exclusive games down the road to make up for you paying the extra $60-70, and I like free things better than $70.  Do I buy it this week to make sure I have access to the free things, or do I keep waiting and waiting for an eternity til they come out with a new color?

Edit: I didn't read any previous posts, so lols.

Yeah, anyone desperate enough to sell off their worldly possessions is obviously feeding a drug habit.

Lol except when these people I'm mentioning are actual drug addicts known around town, and also young people I know my cousin does drugs with.

I am consistently amazed by the amount of white trash assholes who come into this store with terrible shit they like to say is antique and in great condition.  Or better still, when they bring in beaten-up electronics for us to put on eBay that they insist is in new condition, despite being used and showing obvious signs of wear.  Fucking stop buying your god damn packs or cigarettes and maybe you'd have a little more money--I don't want to hear your sob story about how you never have enough money for gasoline or anything, because you waste it on stupid terrible habits and drugs.  Good god.

It is a daily story, and sometimes it's sad, but most of the time, you can tell from the look of the person (and usually they are a young person or a middle-aged druggie) that they did a lot of stupid things to get themselves into a worse situation than they probably started in.  And I hate them even more when they don't know what they've brought in so it's pretty clear they probably stole whatever it is anyway.

Did you ever read the Song of Ice and Fire series?  They're really good and fairly long.

I found a couple lumps on our dog, Bear's, throat day before yesterday and we feared the worst, especially considering the lumps were not there a week earlier, and he's been coughing badly all week.  He's only 6 1/2 but berners are prone to cancers at about that age, so my mom took him to the animal hospital.  The vet ran some tests, and she said it isn't his thyroid (which really would have been the best case scenario), so now Bear is headed in for a biopsy on tuesday.  If he does have cancer, it is malignant and there's nothing we can do at this point because apparently it's a horribly aggressive cancer that will probably kill him within days, maybe a couple weeks.  I really keep hoping that it's going to turn up nothing and he'll be okay, but realistically, it probably is cancer.  If his biopsy comes back saying it's cancer, we'll be putting him down next week I think.  It really really sucks.

Oh, I missed your second post--I guess you finally are.  Good--I hope they give you a ton of money and then you get to punch them in the face.

pokewalker stories

I never figured out how to use mine. I kept waiting for an NPC ingame to mention it or something, and that never happened.

lol
you just turn it on and sync with the game in the start menu.  then it asks you to pick a pokemon and a pokewalker route.  it's so easy.  you just never read the manual, don't pretend.

Here's an incredible story (incredibly ridiculous):
Last fall I was at my dad's with my dogs, and we have a huge yard for them to run in so I was outside all afternoon with them.  My pokewalker fell off at some point and I never noticed.  After 20 minutes of looking in the dusk light, I couldn't find it, and so I gave up hope of seeing it again.  Winter passes.  A couple weeks ago, I'm at my dad's with the dogs again, and just casually walking around, I step right next to it and pick it up.  It must have caught on a bush when I was jogging around with the dogs, and I figured I'd see if a new battery did anything.

Now mind you, this thing was buried under more than 2 feet of snow all winter, face up (luckily).  I didn't really expect it to work, and obviously it didn't when I found it.  We let it air out a few days at work with the case open, and then yesterday we finally got the correct watch battery size for it, and lo and behold, the motherfucker works.  My pokewalker is so awesome.  I am so happy my little derpy pedometer pal works :D

For anybody that's interested, I finally caught myself a swift swim poliwag (drizzle toad).  I'll breed some for those of you that want them, and you can recheck my list of breedable dreamworld abilities, as I've been updating it fairly regularly. And I'm going to have 1 million lum berries some time soon as well :3

If you look on bulbapedia, it agrees with me.  And I've hatched well over 5000 eggs doing the Masuda method, and can assure you that yes, yes that is right.  Everstone doesn't do a fucking thing.

I think I need a drought vulpix though--I've still never seen them in the woods.
