Dohl's Fantabulous Cross-Country Journey
« on: August 15, 2008, 08:24:53 AM »

I've been mentioning it randomly about the community for about the last 2-3 weeks, but here's the situation.

I'm moving to Maryland for a new job.

I've already contacted those near the area for information and potential hang-out type stuff.

Catch you guys in about 10 hours, if I stop somewhere with internets in the room.

See you on the flipside! :wuv:

Love, Dohl

Will you be close to Northern VA?  If so, I haven't heard from you.

Well, I already played the 'my condoleences' joke, but so long as you're not moving rightinto Body-more, MD's actually not so bad (other than their horrible swamp-heat summers).

Oh, I'll be in MD for the last couple of days of August, but sadly I doubt I'll have time to meet up, since I'll be helping my wife... move away from Baltimore.

Greetings from Memphis.

The drive sucked, but I made good time, I think.

Still a little ways to go, though.

Not bad, so far, as long as I can get to Lexington Park by Monday.

Nah, he's gonna be over in St. Mary's.  Like two or three hours away.  Close enough for Magfest, not really close enough to hang.

Do you understand how terrifying the words “vibrating strap on” are for an asexual? That’s like saying “the holocaust” to a Jew.

TA is correct.

Greetings from Bristol, VA.

The lady in the lobby says that I'm about 8 hours away from my destination.  That's if I decide to go through DC, and do it the long way.

According to Streets and Trips, there's a shorter way that takes me through
Waynesboro, Charlotteville, and Fredericksburg, and across the Potomac.
