Strange Happenings
« on: July 09, 2010, 04:29:14 AM »

Like the Good Times and Shit Days thread, but for bewilderment!

So, I've mentioned before to a couple of you through IM that I've been noticing for a while that the animals in the area are starting to act really strange.

I sat through the weirdest experience yet last night. For ten to twenty minutes or so, I kept hearing these piercing animal screams outside. The odd rolling of some sounded a little like a squirrel, but much louder and shriller. The higher-volume, more frantic ones sounded basically sound like a baby being murdered. I have never encountered this behaviour before.

Did you investigate?

The portal to hell won't open unless you investigate.  And then how are you supposed to solve the mystery and save the world?!

Maybe you've got a young sociopath in your neighborhood that's torturing and killing animals but hasn't worked up to Humans yet. ONLY YOU CAN STOP HIM BEFORE HE TAKES HIS FIRST LIFE teg!

Possibly raccoons fighting.  They're nasty to each other.

I'd say "mating season" but it's apparently only mating season for larger, less rapey mammals.

Raccoons seem probable. The sounds they make when fighting are fucking blood-curdling.
