I've never deleted a game as fast as I deleted SO1, so if SO3 is actually worse it must be some sort of scientific wonder.

SO3 makes it's terribad nature apparent when the first three hours of the game are spent milling around a giant fucking hotel filled with important plot characters you HAVE to talk to and absolutely no fucking direction guiding you to them.

Also, terrible voice acting without a japanese option so you have to turn it off and just read the text, which is actually kind of disorienting when you're used to voice acting. I know most voice acting in games these days is mediocre at best, but SO3 is fucking exceptionally bad.

Sometimes I think Steve Staley and Spike Spencer get together sometimes and see who can sound like the whiniest protagonist.

re: Valkyrie Profile: The game double-warns you I think if you try and do anything with an artifact, even sending it to Odin.

I'm telling you people, DON'T GIVE ODIN ARTIFACTS.  It doesn't fucking matter in the long run.

There's no warning if you sell them off.

Which is kind of bad because I've pretty much taken to breaking everything I touch down to cash moneys.

Here's another protip: Items that have a percentage chance of breaking only make the roll for breakage when your turn changes over to the enemy's.  If you finish off everything before they get a chance to act, then your breakable items will not break.  This is especially nice for the 'slayer' weapons (Dragon Slayer, Daemon Slayer) which will one-shot those enemies.

And apparently the scepters will never break if you don't PWS with them, meaning you can enjoy having 400 magic on your casters forever.

That + fairy rings is breaking the beginning of the game pretty badly.  I'm sure it'll catch up to me though.

Oh yeah, if you're not manipulating the hell out of the elemental weaknesses and slayer weapons, it's going to eat you alive by the end of Chapter 4.

It seems like you can beat the whole game without sending a single Einherjar as long as you keep enough artifacts on hand to stop Freya from murdering you.

Why you would even want to is a different story.  I'd gladly trade Llewellyn for phat loot and MP.
