Catherine's been really busy with school and an ever-changing work schedule, so she hasn't had the time to commit to regular video games lately. I suggested we start a new town in City Folk and she instantly relapsed into her old AC addiction, so we're going to be playing this again! She even wants to start a new town in her copy of the DS version, because she has a long break between classes and breaks at work and such.

Anyway, is there anyone who still has a copy of either version who is willing to give us some fruit? If so, I'll post our friend code once we finish the Tom Nook business at the beginning.

Thanks! I still have my old DS town, so we don't need anything in that version, but our CF code is: 0904-2084-8177. Town: Kisstown, name: Brian

I'm available almost any time for the next week or two.

I just played for an hour and a half and already paid off my first small loan and I was able to meet Resetti and get the Silver Shovel on my first visit to the city! I was never able to get into Resetti's place at all in my last town. I also saw a scorpion for the first time, as it dashed over to me and stung me, causing my guy to pass out. Felt like I was playing a different game for a second.

Yeah, they grow in towns that have been abandoned/not taken care of for a long time.
