Dot Hack RPG
« on: October 06, 2009, 10:48:22 PM »

Well hello there!

I am working on a .hack pen and paper.  I've got a good chunk of it done and it's coming along smoothly, I think.
Hitting a few snags here and there.

My biggest problem? Coming up with a decent name.
I was working under the title of  .hack//reboot but now I am thinking it's somewhat... lackluster.

I asked someone else and the best I could get from the was .hack//dice.

So now I am asking you to help me think of a better name for this thing.

Whadya think?

WELL THEN.
.hack//offline is completed. I am currently play testing it.
If any of you want the barebones rules and not the nice, pretty, typed out PHB kind of dealy ask away.

Working on the handbookery now, though.

I like the change in tone from boot-licking sycophant to "fuck you, where's mine?"

Well, I've done three little bits. One was a quick 'n' dirty battle where they stomped the enemies within a few seconds. The next was a quick 'n' dirty battle where they were just utterly annihilated within seconds.  The third was about an hour and a half of actual story and finished... with half the party killed and the other half at full health. Looking into the problems but need better playtesters as well.

Sounds like you've got the flow of .hack stuff down perfectly, actually.

 :nyoro~n:

Still, I am not satisfied with the battles, right now.
Ah well. I should have it out by the new year. DnD is petering out after these campaigns have ended so this is the perfect time to do an actual campaign test of this thing.

As an enormously huge .hack fangirl, I am keen on seeing this come to fruition.
