Lightsabre Wolf Concept
« on: January 27, 2010, 12:30:15 PM »

Originally I had a really complicated idea involving vigilantes, but this is much more simple and I might even try running it. Standard innocents and wolves. First turn of the game, everyone wakes up and finds a lightsabre lying in the middle of the village. Moderator determines randomly who picks it up first.

Once they've got it, they may either Pass, in which case randomly redistributed to another player, or Kill, in which case they choose someone to kill and it gets randomly redistributed again. The current wielder is known to all players at all times, but the transferral to the new wielder only occurs directly after the wolves have had their night kill. Wolves can get it as well, to add to the fun.

How does that sound? Am I missing some huge, obvious flaw?

If it was a small game, I'd probably play around with removing the lynch, the night-kill or both altogether.

there's a variant i've seen called Everyone Has One Bullet, Nobody Has A Rope

each player is a one-shot vigilante, any kill causes night

pretty fast games usually

I had a better idea while I was asleep, which I call Very Fast Werewolf. It's the same thing, expect every round three people are randomly given a thermonuclear bomb. If they use it, they target someone else and flip two coins, one for themselves and one for their target, with a result of heads meaning death for that person.

I think I'd rather run that one.
