Dishonored

Hey, so, general question. I'm just starting the game and I need to know: For a completely undetected playthrough, only being detected by guards count, right? Not thugs? Or do I have to stealth takedown those assholes too?

You can't be detected by anyone. This includes boss targets.

Wow, I guess you just have to forget sidequests then? The Granny Rags one for example is actually impossible to do undetected. Same with the guy who needs help in the boarded up area.  That's a problem.

It and the power sets show Dishonored's sometimes weak design. Like if you're doing a no-kills run, over half the powers are entirely useless, since they help kill, help deal with corpses, or, well, straight up kill.

I'm not sure how I feel about how it handles the pacifist route for bosses, tbh.
Rather than simply finding them and choking them out, you generally have to go through a specific process that you have to uncover on your own, either by talking to some random NPC, or overhearing it in a conversation. More realistic, but if you're trying to avoid everything for a fight, it gets in the way.
