Yeah it's going to haunt us for the next four years that we did not beat the Canadians at hockey.

The American team was fantastic, but in the end the Canadians just realised that if they gave up the gold on home ice after having an early lead they would have basically just all had to kill themselves right there in the stadium.

This was a win for Pittsburgh, IMO. Go Canada!

Are you referring to the riot going on in downtown Toronto at this very moment? Patrick says that they're tearing up newspaper boxes, climbing lampposts and hijacking streetcars. Yonge Street's closed off and everything.

Oooh, hijacking streetcars?

Neat, that's a new one.

But no, I just meant "Oh good, we have something else to be pointlessly arrogant about that is largely irrelevant to the rest of the world."

In other hockey news, the Canadian women's hockey team is so utterly dominant that the IOC is mulling the possibility of just cancelling women's hockey for the forseeable future.

My parents kept commenting that the US team all looked like their families had just been murdered as they were being presented olympic silver medals.

Sorry, but they really should have seen this one coming.  We're talking real movie-rights here.

This is really the only time Canadians get to enjoy having Crosby on a Canadian team, so we gotta enjoy it while we can.
