Remembered a good movie to add to this thread today: The Man Who Would be King.

Michael Caine and Sean Connery conquer a small country as dashing rogues.

I don't think is any recommendation is required beyond that sentence.

Oh yeah, that one's great! It's one of these movies I never think about, but whenever I see it brought up somewhere I feel like I want to see it again.

There's probably some more that fall into that category. Hmm...

Oooh, Death of a Tea Master. It's probably one of my favorite movies ever, though it's admittedly hard to recommend without reservations in a thread such as this. It's slow, somber and solemn, but also somehow warm and genuinely beautiful. That's one movie I wish I could own on disk, but I have to settle for watching it on arTV when it shows like once a year.
