Happens to me often.  I like the save screens that tell you the time and date of your last save.

It happens to me too. I think it's because we see save screens so very often; every single instance of it gets sorted by the brain into a huge pile of identical moments, with the end result being that you can't tell if the instance you remember happened seconds or minutes or days ago. It doesn't help that save screens are low-key and forgettable drops in the excitement curve of a video game, and that they are nonetheless so damnedly critical to enjoying the experience.

I pretty much reflexively smack the "ok whatever get the fucking menu out of my face now" button whenever a save is finished, so I know if I just saved because I'm walking the hell away from a save point instead of running screaming at it like a flaming Scout on a health kit.

I usually have that problem in the mornings after I wake up.  I'll forget if I've applied deodorant or shampoo seconds after I did so.  Better safe than sorry!

Sometimes I forget whether or not I've just spanked it to a picture of Detonator, so I just whip it out and do it again.

I've got my watch set to go off every 5 minutes to remind me.

I forgot about this thread!

I have been noticing a trend lately. I am going to take someone's order and forget a pen. So I have them tell me so I can write it down when I get back to the front. That never worked. So I started repeating the order out loud as I walked forward. Then someone says something to me and I stop repeating and can never start again. The moment I am interrupted I forget everything. So I grab a pen and go back the table, embarrassed.
