Hopefully they won't say "Sorry, we're not accepting solicitations," and then two months from now release the Robust Action Dynamic System, like what happened with Googleshng and Privateer Press.

Googleshng was apparently at a con somewhere, showing off his creation: A hex-based board game where you have a giant lumbering godzilla-type monster vs. the human military. The guys from Privateer Press expressed an interest in it, but Googleshng never heard back from them after the convention.

A year or two later, Monsterpocalypse came out.

It could be that they were both inspired by the same source - some game or film at the time, and Privateer was only interested because they were already working on such a game. Or, whenever goog's product never showed up on the market after a year, they decided to make their own.

Honestly Monsterpocalypse just seemed like it was getting inspiration from War of the Monsters

Sucks for Googleshng, though.  That's that nebulous territory where even if they did rip him off, there's nothing he can really do about it.

Wait, is Googleshng the guy who took Thor's original job?

I think Thor took his girlfriend once, so it's even.

Yeah, uh...

Unless there are actual (nontrivial) mechanical similarities between Monsterpocalypse and "The Massive Vs. The Masses", I really don't think Googleshng has any real grounds for even trying to imply that Privateer Press stole his game. And from what I can see of the two based on their BGG pages, there's not much in the way of similarities - "Massive Vs. The Masses" is heavily asymmetric and only has randomization in the form of decks, whereas Monsterpocalypse is an even-playing-field army-list minis game with dice and no cards.

Unless we have somebody here who has actually played "Massive Vs. The Masses" and can tell us more about it and how it's just like Monsterpocalypse, I think we're done here.
