The sad thing is I agree with the poll results: Beverly was the worst doctor on the best show. Not that she was bad, really, just... boring. McCoy was cantankerous, Julian was charming, The Doctor was The Doctor, and Phlox was a weird alien guy. Beverly is just ... a normal doctor.

Well you have to remember, it was the 1980s. Sci-fi TV characters were painted with a broad brush, female characters even moreso. It was Tasha's job to wave a phaser around and get killed, and it was Troi's job to wear dresses and look concerned. Those two had all the bases covered.

Hmm.  The only Beverly-centric episode I can remember, aside from...heh, Remember Me, was a weaksauce ghost story with a really bad premise.

Hmm.  Yeah, she never really had much development, but I will agree that her line in Remember Me was pretty aces.

Yeah, Remember Me was a good episode. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike her, I just struggle to find reasons to actually like her, while reasons to like McCoy, Julian, The Doctor and Phlox are obvious.

You know, it IS worth noting that outside of maybe Pulaski (and even that's debatable, due to her abortive development), that's one position on the crew that never has a terrible/annoying/straight-up unlikable character in it.

That's probably the only position you can say that's the case (though in fairness, most of the other incidences are fulfilled by the entire crew of Voyager).
