Great little in-browser Megaman knockoff.
Oh cool, alright, when you're at the title screen, go to Options, and you can change the keys there.

It just feeds into the theory that Dr. Light was an insane genius without a lick of ethics.

Street Fighter X Mega Man reveal trailer

Quote
Best of all, this is a true collaboration between Capcom and its fans. Singapore superfan Seow Zong Hui (maybe you've seen his Dhalsim skills?) approached our own Christian Svensson back at EVO 2012 with the skeleton of SFxMM running on a laptop. Seeing the potential and serendipitous opportunity, Sven shared it with GregaMan and I a week later. We evaluated (aka played to death) it and said uh yeah, this is pretty damn cool. Then it all started coming together.

...huh.

Well, let's hope this new spirit of fan engagement keeps on keepin' on.

Actually, I'm curious...is there any kind of precedent for this with Japanese console publishers?  I can certainly think of examples among American PC developers (especially Valve, with both Counterstrike and Garry's Mod), but...I sure can't think of another Japanese example offhand.

Hey yeah remember the last time Capcom tried fan engagement with a Megaman title?  Turned out super.

Yeah, but that time they didn't just let the fans do the whole thing themselves.

(Although that Capcom Euro guy apparently thought that was supposed to be the deal?)

Mega Man x Street Fighter just dropped. Free, PC exclusive. Apparently really solid. Here's basically the only working download link currently available because they're getting fucking hammered.

Oh, I dunno, I think it's a great little program for showing the Capcom logo and then playing a chiptune-style remix of the SF2 theme against a totally blank screen.

That's all it's supposed to do, right?

Apparently alt+f4 toggles fullscreen, instead of closing the program, while escape closes the program.

Also, C. Viper's stage has a pressure hallway with enough flashing that someone's going to get a seizure.

Oddly enough, when I run it under WINE I get the picture just fine but no audio.
