Music to Surf To
« on: March 24, 2008, 08:26:20 PM »

The Forbidden Planet soundtrack, which download I have no idea how long will be good, is nuts.

I am in search of classical music whose highways don't suck, and the improperly-if-at-all-tagged soundtrack to all six Star Wars movies is pretty good. I may have to spend money.

Jazz is a mixed bag. Some of it does not surf well. Others, like John Coltrane music (available upon request), works brilliantly. It seems to me that a prominent saxophone or brass, or very minimal drums, does the trick.

The blood of an ancient clan of punsters flows through me, so it gives me a deep-seated existential discomfort that I don't have any Dick Dale in my collection.

Surf?

Doesn't the saltwater usually get into the MP3 player and kinda destroy it?   :whut:

And the whole earphone bit:  How do you manage that?
