Sword & Sworcery
« on: May 16, 2011, 09:43:39 AM »

Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP is a game for iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad.

Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP

It's a musically-ambitious touchscreen-dependent adventure game. If you were in #finalfight last night, you may have heard me ranting about some article I couldn't find that these guys had written. I found it: it's called Less Talk, More Rock. If you find yourself agreeing with the ideas in here, you probably need to play this game.

The soundtrack is on bandcamp, meaning you can listen to the entire thing online as many times as you want (before inevitably buying it six months from now).

Now I have to go figure out when my sister's next in town long enough for me to borrow her iPhone.

I bought this a while back when it was on sale for $1.99. Still haven't actually played it yet though. Maybe later; thanks for the reminder.

Yeah, I've played it maybe 10 minutes and I really want a day where I can just like curl up in a chair with my phone and absorb it because goddamn those 10 minutes.

Rygaron has a Superbrothers avatar but he hasn't said why yet. He needs to jump on the bandwagon already.

So I have seen a lot about this game and how pretty it is, but how does it play?

It's a tip and tap adventure game with a simple attack/defend combat system that involves watching for the attacker's tells.

It would be a point-and-click adventure game except there's no mouse pointer or mouse button with which to perform either action. Therefore.
