Playing the campaign first. I'm glad to be in Ezio's shoes again, and I like the ever increasing focus on Desmond and his bleed through abilities. AssCreed 3: Every Conspiracy Theory Is True can't come soon enough.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations

AssCreed 3: Every Conspiracy Theory Is True can't come soon enough.

And here we are, finally. I have the game purchased and waiting on steam but I actually forgot to preload it last night. The release date was never explicitly given on steam, it just kept saying "November 2011" so it's obvious why I forgot.

That said, I just played through and beat Brotherhood about two weeks ago so I'm definitely ready for more. I'm curious as to the out-of-Animus adventures now, though.

BROTHERHOOD ENDING SPOILERS
Recap, if you do not recall: After killing Token-Possible-Love-Interest woman,  Desmond went into shock and they threw him back into the Animus for some reason. The Apple is now in their posession for study, at least? My guess: Based on what they hint on at the end of brotherhood ("You'll be visiting us soon") You'll probably wake up in the Modern Assassin HQ (Which will probably be based in the first Assassin HQ from AC1 and where you go in AC:Rev.) while the assassins try to find the map to the temples with the Apocalypse-avoiding Deus Ex Machinas
I'm pretty excited to give the multiplayer a try. Maybe I can actually put some time into it this time around and make some progress beyond level 20. The mechanics and way it plays out are incredibly interesting to me, but playing it alone is frustrating because nobody sees the awesome shit you pull off.

Assassin's Creed Revelations - Ancestors Character Pack DLC Trailer

Hey guys I found my multiplayer character that actually makes me want to play.
Gladiator.
He has a Gladius heavy blade that he knocks people around with more than cuts them, and in general his kill animations with are incredibly brutal and bloody. His taunts are great too. There's a decent amount of customization in each of the new characters to boot.

Going through the multiplayer is actually pretty great. There's a lot of lore and story from the Templar perspective tied to it - and there's a cool feature where if you level to certain points it will play a cinematic of the doctor waking you up for a moment while you're in the middle of the animus session to talk to you.

The way it happened for me is: Right after a match, it started playing. In the background it did the usual stuff of waiting for the match to start, etc, so when the cinematic ended I was auto walking around in my new match. It came across as pretty cool, really.

I'm pretty sure that dude is Native, and those weapons and flag are most definitely pre-Civil War, but post revolution. I'm going to go ahead and throw out, say, 1800-1830. Big enough cities to satisfy the requirements of the series on the east coast (Boston, for instance), and it seems the closest to what we can see.

That's a Revolutionary uniform, and that's a Betsy Ross 13-star flag.  The US flag was amended to have 15 stars and not be in a circle as of 1795, so it'd be before then.  Definitely American Revolution.

And then French Revolution can be this one's AssBro.

They released some screenshots. Looking pretty sharp as always, I'd say.

Here's some details, too.

Settings will include Boston, New York and a large countryside. The countryside will be the setting of about 1/3 of the game

Well then that won't improve the "america's hat" view any, but I hope there are some political jabs in there.

Heck, not just Canadian, but Québécois; the games are developed at Ubisoft Montréal. I'd be surprised if there weren't political jabs.

I'm convinced whoever designed matchmaking for the Assassin's Creed games accidentally gave a photocopy of his dick to the programmers and then tried to play it off like that was what he wanted.

It's not very good, would be what I am saying.
