I would say that's a good sign, actually.

MS says you can't opt out.  Would still probably be a good idea to try anyway.

Logged into the PSN store and apparently PSN has a credit card now.
It gives you points towards PS3 games/hardware with every purchase. I guess if your PSN stuff is going to get hacked and your credit card stolen, might as well combine the two and get your PSN credit card stolen.

There's a recent article claiming that it's possible to recover credit card data from refurbed 360's -- even ones reset to factory default.

MS says that shouldn't be possible and I'm inclined to agree -- if credit card data is stored locally in the first damn place, then Someone Fucked Up.

Which isn't to say it's impossible that Someone Fucked Up, but it's probably a good idea to take this one with a grain of salt until it's duplicated by a reliable independent source.

Meantime, just to be on the safe side, if you're getting rid of your 360 you may want to pop your HD and zero the fucker out first.

OOPS THEY DID IT AGAIN
PS3 hacked open again, hackers gain Lv0 keys, allowing them to hack any current and future firmware in a matter of minutes due to being able to mess with it on the PC now.

Fortunately, a court just ruled Sony isn't liable for its terrible security.

GUESS WHAT TIME IT IS AGAIN

Apparently that whole FIFA Fiasco on Xbox Live where hijackers would take your account and charge a shitload of tradeable FIFA DLC onto it is happening right now on the PSN. Official posts from the Sony Star are somewhat limited to the company line:

More tommorow? Who knows! Either way, change your shit, I had to change mine.

The jokes on them, my bank won't allow PSN transactions without me disabling fraud protection!

edit:  looks like I'm good, anyways.
