Burnout Paradise
« on: January 06, 2009, 02:09:06 PM »

So this game has a bunch of online content and awards I am missing out on.  Anybody feel like organizing an angry car smash fest this week? (not on Friday.)

WHAT

DID SOMEBODY SAY BURNOUT PARADISE
  :ohshi~:

I actually haven't touched Paradise in a few months, due to completing all there currently is to accomplish in the game. Regardless, if we're talking the 360 version, I'm up for an angry car smash fest just about anytime.

A minor fuckton of stuff was released for Burnout Paradise today. Special "legendary" cars are out, with the Back to the Future hovering Jensen priced at 320 points, the three other parody cars (Knight Rider/Ghostbusters/Mexican Dukes of Hazzard) at 160 points each, or all four together at 640 points.

Oh, and in a more typical EA fashion, there's a 400 point pack available now that unlocks all the cars from the normal game for use, if you don't have the time/patience/skill to unlock them yourself. Might be good for somebody renting it just to play with friends for a day or two, but still. Don't be that guy.

Also, on game updates: Criterion likes being dicks to Xbox 360 owners, so whenever they have a new update to the game, they remove the old update from the marketplace and bundle it into the new one. Once you grab the latest 1.7 update off the marketplace (which you should), if you still have the Cagney, Bikes, or 1.6 downloads sitting on your hard drive, you should probably delete those, as they might confuse the living fuck out of the game as it loads and make it think it's corrupted. Good thing Criterion barely makes any mention of this issue anywhere!
