"60 MPH, WITH A GUN AND NO DRIVER"

Oh come on.  How can you even read that headline and not think, "This is something that Spider-Man is eventually going to have to stop."

Probably when I remember that they aren't autonomous to any degree and ARE driven by a driver, just remotely and not while he's sitting inside of it.

How long is it gonna take until the media stops telling people that big fancy RC cars and planes are not terminators?

I'm all for removing people from wars and making them some sort of ROBOT BATTLE ROYALE HELD IN THE NEVADA DESERT instead

Yeah, I love when people talk about this.

Remember that when you no longer have any BATTLE READY BATTLE ROBOTS, you can always just go back to throwing men at the problem.

I'm all for it, though.  Mainly because it makes it all the more terrifying when you start actually killing people.

Well yeah, but it reduces casualties on the rich country's side, which is something.

Reduced casualties from these won't affect America's overall 5-year tolerance for wars given Vietnam and Iraq followed it with orders of magnitude differences. So it's a net win.

Well, we may not get Hunter-Killers, but at some point of escalation, we probably will get Metal Gears.

...Right? Right? I'd hate for Hideo Kojima to be proven even more of a loon than he already has.

BEAR robots, regenerating troops, and coffee pot sized comm relays.

Notice the BEAR robots are made by VECNA Technologies.  Any D&D player should have a problem with this.

...that BEAR robot looks exactly like the nightmare-version of the normal bear enemy I drew up for this one game.  Shrunken head and elongated arms and everything.

Now I have to try and top that shit.  Damn it.

I'm more perturbed that the military scientist in charge of all of this is named Dr. Killion.

But when the navies of the world have repelled or killed the hijackers, it's often involved three elements: helicopters, drones and trained snipers. The U.S. Army is working on a weapon which combines all three.

Well that sounds perfectly hey wait a second.
