DOOM WHERE DID YOU GO

Well uh man I get tired after work you know so that axes 4 days of my week, then I discovered League of Legends and oops, my free time.

Also terrible story: I spent like 3 days trying to aggressively draw in different programs, formats, by hand, better faster stronger etc and as a fool did I realize that it's a lot easier and faster to just crack out some MSPaint then to let my lack of artist talent manifest more directly. I guess I will practice real drawing on the side and maybe one day catch up.

Anyways, EPISODE EIGHT.

Yes, I thought it was an awesome idea to block powerful chain bites with my Geodude, against my Rival's Water Starter. Though losing Draculette or Vivian to the same ridiculously strong Bite would've sucked as well.

Mika... you carried me through the first two gyms with nary a casualty in sight. They were still close fights, but throwing rocks at birds and bugs just can't be beat. In fact, you probably would've handed me an easy win against Whitney's Normal-Type gym and MILTANK, TRANSFORM AND ROLLOUT. But.. I'm an idiot. Now I've lost you and all I have is this pain in my heart.

Thank you for protecting our team from an early wipe.

Got enough material for two more comics and then I'll have to actually play the game further. Grinding my dudes to level 21 before I attempt DAT MILTANK.

Nearly lost so many mons just clearing the trainers around Goldenrod City.

I fucking hate Goldenrod City.

I'm slowly pecking away at my restart of my HG attempt this time, and I'm up to Whitney's gym.

I had a lot of trouble falling asleep last night so I decided to start a new Platinum file and give the Nuzlocke challenge a try.

I trudged through the opening, picked Chimchar, completely forgot to nickname him, got mad at myself for forgetting, turned it off and fell asleep.

Maybe another night...

Okay, so I've continued with my first Nuzlocke challenge.

Turns out that I didn't forget to nickname Chimchar -- you don't even get the option to until later on. That's what I get for playing while falling asleep. So, the adventure with Zidane the Chimchar (now Monferno) continues. He's joined with other such Pokémon as Li-On the Shinx and Stargirl the Starly. I knew that there would be a lot of grinding involved in this, but I guess I didn't realize just how much. So far, the only Pokémon I've lost were Kazza (the Abra you get for trading a Machop)... immediately after obtaining him, and a Buizel... one hit KO'd immediately after catching him. Fortunately, on the next road, I caught an identical one.
