I like anon wolf.

It eliminates the meta game of killing Kazz or Guild the first night.

...o wait

In all seriousness, I think killing Kazz night 1 was a fluke that had a potential for happening, and it could have happened to any of us.

No no, you're doing it wrong.

Blah blah blah anon wolf makes people not post and stalls game

...or does it???

Anyway anon wolf bugs me just because A) it's a psychological game and knowing or THINKING you know how a particular player works is a valid aspect of it and B) I really don't have enough email addresses to keep making alt accounts.

That said though, I don't blame the slowness of this game on alt accounts.  I blame it on people playing super-deliberately unless you light a fire under their ass.  I remember the last wolf game I ran without any sort of time limit took positively forever, and didn't have alt accounts.  Also, Kazz lasted until Day 3 when he was killed by a lynch, even though he was the Alpha Wolf.

So.

Wolves have too much power. The vigilantes don't actually seem to counter-balance the loss of the lynch.

Didn't post much because as a pure inno, there was fuck-all I could do except hope the vigilantes were smart enough to contact people and erect voting blocks to combat the pre-existing wolf-mind.

I wonder what happened on that one.

The one positive Vigilante action was probably entirely random.  :nyoro~n:

I think if the vigilantes were less trigger happy, this might not have gone so poorly for the innocents.

Actually, I worded that badly: I lost the game for us, by A. using my nightkill every single night, and B. using my nightkill on night two on the player tested day one.

Sorry, folks.

Well, there's always Mailinator addresses.

I have no problem with anonymous games; I haven't noticed any change in the incidence of stalling out as compared to regular games.

However, with this particular game.... The test mechanic boosts the power of the innocents (as the only risk involved with a test is the opportunity cost, rather than the risk of offing a good guy) and the wolves (as vigilantes have to do the job, and they can be stopped). This has the net effect of making the day phase basically irrelevant. Vigilantes have never, strictly speaking, needed confirmation to be effective, and wolves are more susceptible to exposing themselves in the daytime, so it ends up just being stabs in the dark and mindgames. (I'm pretty sure that's all we ever relied on.) Whether that's enhanced or diminished by the anonymous accounts, I couldn't say.

If you want to see what anonymous accounts are really capable of, play Krazy Kannibals Zero! Featuring mechanics that are impossible if you play with your regular account, it'll be krazy.

I bagged us a wolf first turn and then targeted the same person as the other Vigilante ANYWAY, so I'd say I did pretty fucking well, actually.

It worked great for you! Me, I killed three innocents, one of whom was a fellow vigilante, and I was aiming at a fourth.
