It brings us well on the way to just outright criminalizing being a woman.

for me, being somewhat modern calvinist baptist, the baptism is as it was in the bible: a literal symbol of acceptance of the way of the life of Christ

i believe that the holy spirit can manifest during baptism, since it represents a personal choice above all, and that would be the time, though it's probably rare and never consciously accepted

other denominations treat this differently, but this is one baptist belief i take to heart, because it jives with what i know of the bible itself based on my research

your results may vary, do not take religion without food, water and thinking for yourself
talk to a doctor if you experience erections lasting longer than ten minutes

Yeah doesn't this contradict with the whole "inherent vice" idea?

Original sin isn't actually anywhere in the bible. It's something Augustine made up from a poor reading of a mistranslation of one of the letters from Paul. It was stupid and condemned as heresy and nobody cared about it. Then the Dutch theologian Jansen picked picked it up during the reformation and the Catholic church was basically never able to get rid of it after it gained some popularity. Then the protestants picked it up because "humans are shit" was their bread and butter.
