Come on. What could giving out your name on the internet possibly do. I mean, just look at how open Facebook is about these kinds of things.

At first I was willing to give them the benefit of a doubt. I mean, an obviously ham fisted, clumsy as hell fix, but I could get behind the reasoning with better implementation.

But with the news that Blizzard is deleting links to the ESRB's privacy complaint site? Well.

For a while I was working on the title "The insane" but somewhere along the way I got too busy and stopped caring enough to try for it.

So I just sold all my Tomes and Pristine Black Diamonds for 10k.  :perfect:

Eyonix leaves Blizzard, speculation and overanalyzations of last messages suggest internal strife. Okay then.

Willing to bet it was realID. Where has he gone now?

I rather severely doubt it. Eyonix probably left for the same reason Tseric and Fangtooth did, which is to say, he couldn't handle being told to be nice to the people he's paid to be nice to, and probably decided to go to another company rather than change the way he was conducting business. Shortly before leaving the company, he had a pair of Tseric-style meltdowns, so it makes sense to me.

It always sounds like these guys quit because they couldn't handle the stress of reading an internet forum.

Well, we KNOW that's why Tseric quit. (more likely, got fired.)

When you can understand how a group of belligerent and angry posters can drive away people from this game with an uncrafted and improvisational campaign of misery and spin-doctoring, then perhaps, you can understand the decisions I make. Until you face mobs of psychology, you will not see my side.

Until you see some bright-eyed player coming onto the forums wanting to know what they should spec as this class, and see them shat on and driven away by petty and selfish people who are simply leveraging for game buffs, you will not understand.

You will not understand until you have to see it daily, for years...

Until you understand that many people will trod over you to get where they're going, or to get what they want.

Until you understand that so many people will agree, completely, 100% with a loud, vulgar and assertive individual, not because he is right, but because he is making a stand against "the Man"; to take no critical thought in what they say, but simply to hop on board.

Until you actually try to acknowledge those who do not speak on the forums, for whatever reason they have, you will not understand.

If you think an archaic business formula like "the customer is always right" works, you fail to understand customers, not a customer. It is a collective. No one person, even myself, is truly above the whole.

I simply have the unfortunate quality of being easily singled out.

Can't help it.
Posting impassionately, they say you don't care.
Posting nothing, they say you ignore.
Posting with passion, you incite trolls.
Posting fluff, you say nonsense.
Post with what facts you have, they whittle down with rationale.
There is no win.
There is only slow degradation.
Take note. It is the first and only time you'll see someone in my position make that position.
You can be me when I'm gone.

I'm sure you all think you're hilarious in your own space/mind.

Get off my internet.

Considering this guy was probably making excess of 45k/yr to post on web forums for 8 hours a day, I can't exactly say I have any pity for him.

Some people can handle spending 8 hours a day being told by a bunch of whiners that they're the worst people int he world. Some can't. I'm one of the people that can't, and it nearly drove me back into the mental hospital trying to prove otherwise. While I don't condone his actions, nor do I think he is entirely faultless, I can sympathize with just deciding to say "fuck it" to trying to please a group of people who will never, ever be pleased.

Essential to the job is accepting that you will never please them, and then just going ahead anyway.

The problem with that logic is that Tseric would have had to have had a few years of experience doing exactly this kind of thing to land that job in the first place. Working for a major company like Blizzard in a very public position like he was isn't even close to what I would call entry level. If he was just some guy at the customer service department, I could understand, but presumably he has been doing customer service / CM jobs like this for most of his professional career.

Looking up Tseric - and even Eyonix's - info is kind of annoyingly hard, and I spent a good 30 minutes before calling it done. I did find that Eyonix's last comment was about hedgehogs and immovable forces, so either he left for Sega, or he's calling Bobby Kotick or someone with hedgehoglike hair or personality a dickfucker.

As for Tseric, even if he did do it a while, it wouldn't surprise me if he was fine up until WoW. It has the most whiny, entitled, spoiled, unpleasable fanbase of anything I have ever seen.
