Has anyone here (you know, the working class) ever worked a job where it took less than 90 days for insurance coverage to start? I know I sure as fuck haven't.
Me neither. Inasmuch as I've been in the same temp position for two years (the longest I've ever had the same job, incidentally), I'm lucky to have insurance at all. It's not very GOOD insurance, but it helped me eventually get to the point where I can breathe comfortably most days.

Indeed, and I'd say that's a real weakness to Republican and Libertarian ideology -- "I'm doing fine, and if anybody else isn't it must be their own damn fault."
Obviously that's an oversimplification, and just as obviously fiscal liberals aren't immune. But I think it's a common enough pattern to make a note of.
