Yeah, I knew I was risking damage to the console by fucking with the voltage screws. But in my defense:
1) I had done it before and it fixed the system wonderfully for like a year or so.
2) I was tired of the thing fucking up on me so bad that I had to, you know, open it up and fuck with voltage screws, so I figured "fuck it, new slim ps2s are $99, if this fries the system or just fails to fix it I'll just go buy a new one, getting it fixed by people who know what they're doing would likely have cost that much or close to it anyway".
3) Oh oh, I thought of a third point: Being a decade old, the poor thing was probably on its last legs anyway. At worst this just hastened the inevitable.
So yeah, this probably wasn't the smartest idea in the world, but it's not like I just grunted "URGH PS2 NOT WORK, ME OPEN UP AND FIX!"
