I'd forgotten how grueling Minesweeper got without a "clear all boxes around the one i'm clicking" click.

Do you understand how terrifying the words “vibrating strap on” are for an asexual? That’s like saying “the holocaust” to a Jew.

AGH FUCKING DISC GUN AND DOUBLE PISTOLS

YOU ARE SO BAD

Aww, I love the double pistols! They make my little ninja blob look so cool ;_;. But yeah, that disc gun is awful.

The disc gun is for real men. It's wonderful to buy you a precious few seconds every once in a while since a long rebound can kill stuff while you're somewhere else, and it easily has the highest kill per second potential or any weapon except maybe the revolver. I'd much rather have it than, say, the minigun, even though it also has the highest suicide per second potential of any weapon.

That said, this is a game where objectively bad weapons like the katana and shotgun are an integral and intelligent part of the difficulty, so there's still a kind of cruel genius to it.

As sadlets go, After Years In Dark Tunnels is pretty fucking impressive. It was described to me as "Knytt meets the Super Metroid: Eris romhack", and I guess that's pretty apt. I had to stop playing for the same reason I can't handle survival horror games.

You're right, I do feel like someone has sent me to hell and this game is my eternal punishment.

Luckily they forgot I can close my browser in hell.  Whew, narrowly averted.

I think it's broken. I used the ship's resources to save Chloe but it didn't give me the sex scene.

This is pretty cool shit.  The void and wasteland levels are kicking my ass, though.  :(

I enjoy Sugar, Sugar enough to overlook the fact that you sometimes have to just let the program sit for a while in order to finish a level.

Christine Love proves herself again to be one of the best writers in modern gaming. Going almost back-to-back from Dragon Age 2 to this was kind of a shock to the system, actually.

the fact that 4chan is a major narrative element really proves the worth of this game, i feel.

... um, that was completely sincere, just in case you were wondering.

That "game" has quite a lot to say about society. It was pretty cool.
