Apparently I can't play Spy on an entirely different server without Rico finding out where I am and killing me.

To be fair most of those times someone else had already bumped into you or otherwise made you visible.  Also I spycheck like crazy when I am a heavy next to a l3 dispenser.

That was a frustrating set of games, though, when a team doesn't realize that its complete engineer whoring is completely wiped out by at least two medics for every heavy and everyone else as a demoman.  I know usually people don't get the hint for a round or two but that was five in a row I'm pretty sure.

I didn't notice anything last night, but Steam has developed a new quirk for me.  If I'm currently in game and I see someone on my friends list playing a game, any attempt to join them (Via "Join Game", natch) results in the Steam overlay shutting down and never being able to be brought back up unless I close TF2 down and restart.

Ha, the March 10 update claims to have fixed a crash caused by attempting to join a game from the in-game overlay. They probably borked something up in that area.

It just quietly refuses to join friends' servers for me.

I look up and say "connect me".

And it looks down and says "no".

It won't display internet servers for me. The only way I can get a game is by joining friends or going to servers in my history. A bunch of folks in a game I joined had the same problem.

I've had similar issues with the Steam overlay disappearing for a week or two now.

Weeeeeeeeeird.  I wish pyros could drink bonk and set shit on fire.  That'd be the quickest way to make half the TF2 players of the internet click 'Delete Local Content'.

The only time I ever got to be invulnerable was when Friday played.  And then I'd be Mr. Uber Pyro killin' all the helpfuls.

Nice idea, until they made it public.

I'll be shocked if my games in the immediate future aren't hit with a deluge of "TrollingWanker has joined the game.  TrollingWanker has left the game (disconnect by user.)"

I'd like to think they'll ignore multiple connections from the same person in a short span.

also, the wording on the post implies they've already picked out all their bad servers.  Since this is a list compiled since the beginning of time.

anyway.  am I supposed to be angry?  i'm not.

This was actually caused by a server mod and has been fixed (they also weren't completely invincible, they could be taunt killed)

and on the server points thing, its probably nailed to your steam id, so you'd need a LARGE amount of people joining then leaving.
(this update also breaks reserved slots, which is great)

now they just need a way to FORCE server tags (i've joined presumably stock servers only to find that it had some faggoty donations thing set up so that anyone who donated had FAR MORE HP and if an engie, could build multiple of each building, i quit instantly)
