Are wins and losses recorded onto our profiles anywhere?

The commentary mentions that only "positive" stats are recorded and made available for viewing, to encourage people to surpass themselves and take the focus off their mistakes. I'm sure the game keeps track of it and may report it to Valve for purposes of general statistics but I don't think it's actually visible anywhere.

Yeah, TF2 offers lax punishments for failure, to discourage you from taking the game too seriously. Players can take a bit of a beating, respawn quickly and have plenty of ammo. There are no stats pages for you to get upset about ruining with failures.

I know how to fix autobalance.

Instead of just grabbing the first person to die and tossing him onto the other team, they should take the first person to die, turn him into an L4D tank for one life, and then toss him onto the other team.

I don't think I've -ever- seen a breakable barrel in tf2.

I know there's at least one near Point A on Steel.

...and, presumably, another near the second point on the second part of Dustbowl.

There's a couple on the tunnel on that same stage of dustbowl. The fact that they can be easily destroyed is the reason why they don't last very long. Also, that barrel used on the video can be used to crouch jump onto the platform, giving the offensive an easy way to get up there without taking the stairs or the tunnel.

I felt cool this week because there was at least one match where when my team won, I was in the top 3.

That would be the funniest spy-kill ever: The Understab.

I'm reminded of the mediaeval king who was assassinated on the toilet. His killer hid in the shit trough under the planks for hours, and when the king took a dump he was stabbed in the asshole.

I ended up personally capping pretty much every last point on Dustbowl tonight.

On Axl's server, so I wasn't exactly swimming in noobs for once.

For some reason my reaction is less "I am fucking awesome" and more "Why the fuck do I have to do every single goddam thing myself?"

And in the proper thread: Is multi-core support for multiple CPUs or multiple GPUs?  There's an essential difference, i.e. I-have-one-but-not-the-other.  Partially because two graphics cards would not physically fit inside my tower.

I'm pretty sure it's for multi-core CPUs.  While multiple GPUs seems to work fine with most games, very few actually have any way to take advantage of the multiple cores in your CPU.

Personally after activating it I noticed no difference whatsoever, but the game always ran at peak performance for me anyway.  That said, the game no longer has a hissy fit every time I exit to the desktop so bully for that.

Completely unrelated to multicore.  Also, it breaks some textures.

It looks like the modding scene has hit the XBawks. I think I was tipped off by the all-critical attacks, jet black Heavy, and pile of Wallace Breen corpses.

 It's like leaving home for a few months, and coming back to find your room painted pink and the couch set ablaze.
