Ah, that's why I never saw any 'new content being downloaded' notice. At first I thought it was just a tiny upgrade that went by really quick.

They funny thing was that I didn't realize it was a server mod, because it was on all the servers I played spy on that night.

I have had a renewed enjoyment in playing when I make all my mic speech as a prophet of the great wrench.  It takes people a little while to figure out what I mean when I speak of the nonbelievers attacking me.

Sometimes I check out the server list to see if anyone I like is playing. But all I find are millions upon millions of assholes and idiots. So I don't play. Much.

But I would.

I am SO IN LIKE FLYNN once I get my awesomeputer back from HP's stupid repair center.

Apparently, the issue I was having was a known issue with the video card, so they're fixing it.

I checked up on it on monday, and the people said it'd be 7-10 days.

Are spies becoming more aggressive lately? Last night I encountered seven different wrench versus knife fights.

As Doom pointed out, spies aren't more aggressive so much as more sloppy.  Since backstabs no longer require the precision they used to to be successful, most spies now just start stabbing wildly while trying to get to your side.

The truly tragic part is it works.  I've been in more fights where I spy came out me then just went to my side and then I was dead instantly.

So I let a friend borrow my account tonight. He's basically the Scout, but in real life (he even looks like the Scout).

Anyway, he was hilariously retarded. The funniest part was how he manged to get a bat kill on a heavy, and won a sniper duel with the top sniper on the enemy team despite dying every 2 seconds, being unable to follow even the most basic directions, and constantly wasting full minutes getting lost or randomly exploring places where NOTHING WAS GOING ON. It was like... long periods of utter failure, punctuated by bizarre moments of total and incredible victory. Kind of like playing spy... only with every class.

It doesn't help when both those things are nonexistant.

Well, it was funnier for me than it was agonizing, though I'll admit it's a close race.

Most -worthy statement was when he proudly exclaimed "Hey I used to be a really good sniper years ago!", just prior to his picking sniper on the class selection screen.

A close scecond was the number of times he woud come out of spawn on defense on badwater, see the GIANT RED ARROW pointing left, see the train tracks, and (eventually) have all four of us yelling at him to "GO LEFT!" before randomly wandering off to the right, and getting lost. Repeatedly. Like I said, he IS the Scout.

Or when he kept switching to his melee weapon to run faster, even after we told him that doesn't work.

I think Constantine joined the game at some point. He must've been wondering what the hell I thought I was doing.

I eventually left the game because I got tired of our team being dominated by 6 pyros.

Having played a few hours of medic, and getting the hang of Ubering, I noticed something.

Set up is generally enough to give you a 100% Ubercharge.  How long that ubercharge lasts seems to be variable.  Is it a random length of time, or is there something else at work?

Pretty sure it's your imagination. Both charges last 8 seconds.

Switching uber targets eats a couple seconds, so that might be it.

Oh, so that's how you uber two people.  Just right click on someone else while the Uber's going on?

That achievement is fucking impossible.  I've tried switching back and forth rapidly between two targets for an entire uber duration to no avail.  That's par for the course, though, as all the medic achievements blow chunks.  It took the scout to prove to the world just how good achievements should be.

Yeah, the more I think about how hard it was to come by the Kritz honestly, the more I think I'll probably have to farm the ubersaw.
