On the subject of Doom switching sides, my favorite memory of it was once when playing with a few of the #ff people. Doom complaining about the teams being stacked, since his team was getting rolled pretty easily, so he refuses to keep playing on the losing team. So I switch places with him and then proceed to eliminate my former team pretty easily.

If I'm on a server where my skill level is high enough that my switching teams actually makes a difference, then I am probably on a TERRIBLE server.

In the end all I know is that I spent a week wondering if I was somehow becoming too much of a perfectionist to enjoy the game at all and now I am having a lot of fun in it again.

To be quite honest the only difference between most of you and any other random stranger on TF2 are that your names are surrounded by gray boxes and some of you are a lot easier to kill.

I WAS RANDOMLY ASSIGNED TO THE BLU TEAM WHEN I JOINED THIS SERVER

THEREFORE I WILL BE LOYAL TO THEM FOREVER

Or until the Great Demon Ottobalanz decides that I must betray my brothers

I try to play it where it lies because you don't become better by playing on Easy mode all the time.

some of you are a lot easier to kill.

For the gaggle of experts we seem to have around here I have to admit that playing on private servers with you guys tended to double my top stats.

I want to say that my least favorite thing in the world is when I play with just you guys and you whine about all the "bad" players from our community that got put on your team.

I just wish people as a whole would recall it is a team game.

To be fair, Doom does seem to be of the opinion that he can't get any better.

I can get better. If there's God-Like, VIP Quality, Expert, Great, Good, Decent.. I'd honestly rate myself Good, Great at most. Considering my posts before the Great Turncoat Incident and well, every single time I've mentioned it, I care about having a bit more personal fun than I do any "training" at the moment.

Scenarios that bugged me on Shadow Moses:

1) So few people that the teams are 2-3, 3-4, 5-4, etc. The team with the extra guy always wins no matter what.

2) Team is Known Expert, Guy with 400 Ping, Known Newbie vs Two Known Experts and Average Player.

3) We finally have 6+ people on every team. LET'S LOAD A CUSTOM MAP! OH NO WHY DID WE LOSE HALF OUR PLAYERS?

when sniper update hits we'll probably be able to field the people for a decently full shadow moses again, at least.  updates always reignite the old glories.

I must say, I'm shocked. Doom never acted like this when he used to play DotA with us before Oxi made him hate it again:smile:

Doom's problem is unless he is winning, he has no fun whatsoever. He can't just fight the good fight and be happy. As a result, he is too easily defeated where as someone like Kazz or myself can pretty much never be defeated, only killed. We are more annoyed when people are griefing or being bitches than when people are playing poorly.

As mentioned before, the only thing that can actually really make me ragequit is my own damn team actively trying to undermine me.

We do not need to 'feat them.

Just fight them.

So that [moob][dc]The Sage guy is so upset that I team-jump that he actually tries to counter team-jump so that we're always on the opposite team.

So I followed him back and forth until he got stuck due to auto-balance on the losing team and he rage-quit as soon as they lost.

I just sort of zoned out and wrench ninja'd the whole night, I guess I was in a bad vibe. Sometimes I really don't feel like direct combat at all, you know?

I wish Kazz's computer would just stop being a power-save mode jerkface and run TF2 when I want to play so badly
