Quote
A diabolical doomsday device is the foundation of this circular arena map, which features long sightlines and a bottomless radioactive pit underneath most of the game area. The cap, located in the center of the arena, is only accessible by catwalks suspended over a chasm, which open after the timer has run down.

Yup, that's the sniper update alright.

It is pretty nice to hop on to a random server, on a team that is losing 0-7, and then from the moment you join until the moment you leave that same team with the same members doesn't lose another match again. It is something that I find enjoyable.

At least until the rusty gears in everyone else's heads begin to slowly rouse themselves and generate thoughts along the lines of "wow we had no medics before and this guy started playing medic and we started winning so medic is a good class let's all switch to medic".

It's difficult to have too many Medics though.  I've seen 5 of 7 people switch to Medic and then turn the tide.

Blame Battle Medic for being a viable class I guess.

Airblast will make everyone love you.

You cannot do this with a backburner: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_LHw9M1wdVE

Anything reflected by the airblast converts it as your "own" ammunition.  Grenades, stickies, rockets, and sentry rockets will act as they should:

Yes, the same sentry gun rockets were just reflected AND juggled THREE TIMES across THREE Pyros there.

Also, you get a hell of a lot of air control if you're going to jump since you're lighter than Soldiers or Demomen, especially with sentry rockets.

This video (and the other two parts) is the prime example of playing as a Pyro (download the 30 minute video in its HD entirety and grab some lunch!):

Try switching to VGA cables.  That happened to me a few months ago too - I'm hazarding a guess that it's the first sign of a graphics card turning gay.

Update Kazz/LD: I dicked with my BIOS settings a bit and this problem went away and I'm on DVI again yay.  You may want to check that shit.  Watch out especially for anything called Speedstep, Virtualization, or anything else that's off by manufacturer's default and sounds suspiciously like "Blast Processing".

Well, Kazz will have to look into this shit tomorrow when he's home.  I'm lucky my lappy came in when it did, because now even when I try to turn on the computer, it goes into powersave mode.  I'll direct him to this thread.  And when he's fixed it, then I can beat him up in TF2 for the first time ever :D
