The no turn apparently costs 250 metal. This alone means either a very big change for engies over-all or well, what everyone else said.

If this is real I'll craft my hat.

Nevermind that for most recipes you only need scrap metal, making it even more obvious.

For Yeoz: (and anyone else who wants it).

GUIDE: How to get better mouse precision

Mouse acceleration is a annoying feature found in all versions of Microsoft Windows that artificially increases the speed of your mouse cursor based on how fast you move the mouse across your mouse pad. It sounds like a great feature in theory, in fact, Microsoft even calls the setting to “Enable pointer precision”; unfortunately it does the exact opposite and destroys any precision you may have had!

Many gamers don’t realize that mouse acceleration comes enabled by default. Little do they know that every stroke of their mouse is different; inconsistent due to a mathematical formula calculating the speed at which they move their mouse.

The game is plagued with inconsistency because moving the mouse from point A to point B is never the same. By disabling mouse acceleration, no matter how fast or slow you move the mouse, movement from point A to point B will be the same. This results in much greater accuracy, increased consistency.

To disable it from Windows, open up your “Control Panel” From here open the “Mouse” panel, select the “Pointer Options” tab and un-check the “Enhance pointer precision” check-box.

That is only halfway there.. Unfortunately Windows also have a smaller mouse acceleration even if you disable it. This is probably because you will not get used to mac/linux's mouse settings and will buy microsoft products so they make more $$$. You need to edit the registery to fully get rid of it.

>Only continue if you have common sense.
[Works with XP, Vista and Windows 7]
1. Click Start button
2. Select Run
3. Type 'regedit' in the open textbox
4. Open the tree 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER', select control panel, then select mouse
5. Right clicking, modify the SmoothMouseXCurve and SmoothMouseYCurve hexidecimal values to the following:

SmoothMouseXCurve:
00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00
00,a0,00,00,00,00,00,00
00,40,01,00,00,00,00,00
00,80,02,00,00,00,00,00
00,00,05,00,00,00,00,00

SmoothMouseYCurve:
00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00
66,a6,02,00,00,00,00,00
cd,4c,05,00,00,00,00,00
a0,99,0a,00,00,00,00,00
38,33,15,00,00,00,00,00

If done correctly, you will notice you are holding a markedly more responsive mouse.

I haven't implemented this myself (too much fucking around), but I used to use the "Enhance Mouse Precision" setting in Windows and even just turning that off helped noticeably.

Thanks much! Will probably give this a try during forts tomorrow.

Also: http://www.manno.com.br/ WTF.

EDIT: Hold on, maybe this is just a horrible third-party joke?
It's not a 'joke', but's certainly third party. The guy who made this stuff posted about it on the steam forums

How to airshot a heavy. First part is what not to do. Second part is what to do. I wrote it as text but you obviously can't read it at that size. Ah well.

I'm really crappy at airshots in general. I can do great for most other thing with soldier, but not airshots. Funnily enough, airshotting as a demoman is pretty easy for me.

Well, while it's still a useful skill, if you're using the rocket launcher over the direct hit, theres not nearly as much of a benefit. I mean, sure, if you're consistent, it's great to slap down jerks who try rocket jumping all over the place, but none of us are that good. Even with the Direct Hit, air shotting isn't critical. On a good night I get a few airshots per map and maybe not at all. On a bad night I might not get any.

But I would say this particular trick, for DH Soldiers is good stuff. If you can sneak close to a heavy you can 1-2 him. almost immediately. You almost end up with a backstab against heavies. You can also rush down a Heavy who isn't spun up yet. Unlike other shots this one, while tricky in it's own ways, is more predictable and the heavy makes for a good target.

Other airshot juggles in practice are cool, but not reliable.

Well, he's doing exactly what I have said before: making the engineer update since Valve won't do it themselves.

The last day of the fake engie update shows the naked face of brilliant lunacy.

I didn't think he was gonna top the Doomsday Device, but this is.... yeah.

It is criminal how much better this website is at being Valve than Valve themselves.

By the way, I only noticed earlier today that he'd added a second "Day 2" page to the Dog Update, with hats and other stuff.

I dunno, I'm more than glad these aren't real. They are neat and funny though.
