Summer Crates can now be opened, have a host of new items.

Looking for the Heavy Cop Shades. Have Engy Spurs, Steel Jaw, and Pyro Boot Hat to trade for it

I want the Steel Jaw and the spurs, and I have those glasses. If there is a way I could get both of you, that'd be cool.

I'll do the spurs for the shades straight across, but you don't have anything that I want that would be fair to toss in, to toss in the jaw.

(Nice Toque, by the way)

Man, I haven't even got a summer crate yet, let alone opened any. I think I'll be wanting the spurs and the mailbox, so if anybody has any extras I'll make you an offer when I have some summer items of my own.

Say guys, would it be possible to ask for Admin status on the server?

I've been on a couple of time with semi-regulars like Cow and Makaris with no admin and they keep thinking I have Admin powers since I'm on so often. It would make things a bit easier.

Also: Wow. ShMo is now full all the damn time. With NO REGULARS ON IT.   :nyoro~n:

I wouldn't mind admin status too much. At one point in time (9:30 or so) we had half a team of idlers.
And porn tags the next round.

I don't see a problem with half of that.

What's wrong with porn tags?

Okay if anyone is serious about being an admin you have to go through some rigorous testing, and that consists of giving me a fucking steam id instead of looking at me with your puppy dog eyes.

I will also be the judge of who gets power. Can't be handing this stuff out like candy you know.

Smiler has burdened me with a server admin hat.

I promise to completely abuse this and/or go mad with power to accomplish the following agenda:

* Ensure that nobody infringes on others ability to have fun. (Losing a match is not abuse)
* Keep micspam below retarded levels

I'm probably going to enforce no spawn camping, unless Smiler decides that's not a crime.  Being assaulted at the beginning of payload isn't camping.  Parking three pyros outside the door of Nucleus for five minutes straight is camping.  Continuously sniping from inside your spawn is camping.

TLDR; Don't be a jerk.

If this is a problem, encourage Smiler to remove my admin hat.

Edit:

I'd like to request the server acquire a plugin for all-talk control, either via vote or player threshold (16+ is good for team talk).

Spawncamping nucleus isn't shit because if a team is getting spawncamped it means they forgot that they have an extra two doors to go out of.

Okay new admins are: Mongrel, Madmax, and Cow. Well they are at least until I get tired of them/ find someone better/ gatdamn why did you break the server.

And that isn't mentioning the people who were already admin. They're in the vents!

Really, the more admins for Shmo the better, as long as none of them are chain kicking Geo abusing their power. It helps ensure an admin is around to deal with the inevitable dickheads.

Well, I always like to say that TF2 is probably THE most generous game I've ever seen for helping even the worst players break a spawncamp, but it does happen sometimes.

Generally though, I find it just means the teams are WAY too imbalanced and that one is not just getting rolled but is actually getting completely obliterated. So my response would probably be to just scramble.

Also: As the above might indicate, I try to take a hands-off approach if possible. And if someone is really actually-fer-realz-hacking, I can easily not notice (really, you have see them do something obvious to know for sure). So if something's broken or sucks, and you need it fixed let me know!

As I keep reminding folks, in your keybindings, there is a 'call vote' that has no key by default.  Set that sucker to P or something.  In the shiny new built-in vote menu, there is a scramble option and a mapvote option.

Most servers I'm on tend to frown upon repeated spawncamping by a demo, mostly because it's actually annoying to try and get rid of the stickies - to poof or blast the stickies away, you have to open it, and the demo's already hit M2 by the time it's halfway up, gibbing you.

Granted, that's when you wait for a jibbering retard to do so, then charge out right after him, and sting.

Also is it called justified power abuse if you kick the sniper who can headshot you from three steps away in 0.2 seconds and runs back into spawn if he drops below 95% health and then complains that his team never wins
