All the commands and menus are a bit different. The !admin menu is straightforward and easy, but is there somewhere we can get the list of our other options and commands? Do you just use console for the stuff not in the !admin menu, or is there yet another system?

Also: Max, where is the vote command? That's not something I saw in the advanced options. Or is this an admin-only command?

You can bind voting to something under the keyboard tab in the normal options. Otherwise, there is a checkmark next to where it says resume game which is the call vote button.

Also, Garbage Day seems to make tf2 crash for a lot of people as soon as it loads, including me. It got fixed for some reason once I made my own server with Garbage Day and then rejoined, but we probably want to avoid switching there for now.

I think the problem was too many people trying to download it. People who already had it installed were fine.

Once we all have a copy, it should go a little easier.

Nah, I already had it installed, it just crashed as soon as I actually got in game. It did the same thing earlier today when I was the only one in the server.

I like to throw myself on stickies for the team, but my team never takes advantage of the opening.

Also, Mongrel, the vote command is actually part of TF2 now, so I'm guessing the sourcemod version is disabled.

You mean using the menu that votes via Fkeys?

How do we initiate that?

More importantly, how the hell do we make it actually go to the map everyone voted for (assuming we get over the "enough people voted" threshold) instead of selecting some random-ass map instead? (LOL bugs)

Garbage day is one of many maps that have been crashing servers since an update quite a while ago

Another is pl_cranetop, I forget the others I was aware of

Best advice is to just remove it.

So the server broke when Mongrel accidentally switched us to an arena map, I think. The default next map is always an arena map, no voting, and when the server is on an arena map, its name changes to "Team Fortress 2 Arena Server".

How in the hell does that happen?

For what it's worth, that happened when I was forcing a map change and hit "1" for map and then lagged for a split-second so I hit "1" again, loading the very first listed map (Area Badlands). That's probably irrelevant and we just need a server reboot?

Can Admins force a server re-start/update? If so, how?

Yeah, I wish Valve had made a voting system that wasn't really stupid/buggy so we didn't have to change maps all the time to avoid stuff like 2fort.

my favorite thing about the voting system is how whichever map is number 1 is selected 9/10 times

I have never actually seen a map get 'enough votes' for the vote to count.

I know the old RTV DOES work, because they still use it on the Québec Server and other places I've gone - maybe we just need to install an updated version of that tool?

To be honest I fucking hate the old rtv, and then even the old one had the same problems when you switched to arena, so that's not new. The lesson here is, don't play arena.

Would be nice to have a nominate option though.

Besides the nominate function, it was also good when you could vote for a map to switch to when the current map was finished rather than switching immediately in the middle of a match because one idiot decided to call a vote.

Could we list the moderators on the MOTD?

Today was pretty good when that guy insisted that you were using exploits to backstab him because he didn't see you.
