Has anyone else been having trouble with their FPS lately? Over a course of two months, I have went from full settings running at 1280x1024 to all low settings at 1024x768, and the game is still choppy. I don't have any viruses (Or so my computer says), defragmentation is at 0%, and I don't have any new programs running in the backround. This is sort of getting rediculous.

Sometimes I get really low FPS playing on Nor's computer, which is a beast. The settings are all maxed, I think. This has never been a problem before the Spy/Sniper update.

Another thing that happens is similar to when you get disconnected, but instead I just vibrate in place while everyone teleports around, a couple feet at a time. Then I start moving and people can see me again. Very irritating.

I experienced a sudden lagburst when getting kritzed tonight.  It may just be the way I've redone my settings since there's been no end of weirdness ever since.  Velve really, really wants you to use their shitty HDR thing I guess.

I'm having the same exact issue ever since the Spy VS. Sniper update. I'm running a dual core, Geforce GTX260, 4gb of ram, and vista 64bit. I think Geo was getting the same issue as well and his specs are pretty similar to mine. I actually had Madmax see it happen to me once and he said I just appeared somewhere else suddenly. Thankfully, it's pretty infrequent but it's certainly still annoying.

You appeared out of of nothingness and exploded me with a rocket.  I was hiding well away from the travel path while cloaked.  Either Soldier is the best spy ever, or there were indeed connection issues.

I am told there is a way to look things up.

They may well be separate problems with the same symptoms, but when I get that stuttering, I'm almost certain it's an IRQ conflict with my soundcard, probably with my video card as it only happens during certain games and they're both on PCIe.

Vista 64, 8800GT, and a Soundblaster Xfi if it helps anyone out.

P.S. I love the concept of Let Me Google That For You.

First guess has to do with that the 64 bit drivers for X-Fi are terrible (No firsthand evidence of this, heard from two 64 bit vista users).  IRQ conflict is not likely as your device manager goes out of its way to prevent that.

If you are using a PCIe XFI card, it's the Titanium series, right? (Please indicate otherwise.)  There are Titanium Beta Drivers to try that are stamped April 30th, 09 (EDIT: Those might be 32-bit, my bad).  Here's the latest Nvidia Beta driver for your card on Vista 64, dated yesterday.

Latest drivers are the first thing to try.  If nothing happens or it gets worse, we can try more from there.

PROTIP: The 32-bit drivers for X-Fi are also terrible.

Don't even ask me what is in Nor's frankenstein computer.

Seems, though, that if it happens, it starts happening more and more frequently. Some nights are worse than others. Lately I've gotten by not getting the damned bug at all, though, so?

Unrelated: usually if my internet starts being a boner due to someone torrenting or whatever, it'll disconnect me, but lately it's been content to give me 1500+ ping! HA HA THAT'S BETTER THANKS

This isn't bug related!

Today I learned something useful. On Hoodoo 2, near the RED spawn, there are three things: the left gate, the right gate, and the open tunnel high in the air between them. You aren't supposed to be able to get in the tunnel, but if you go up the left side ramp, then jump onto the little partition thing and from that onto the giant rock, you can just barely slide into the tunnel. This makes getting in there trivial. I've only done it as 100% movement speed classes, but obviously a scout or medic could get in there; slower classes, I dunno. This is perfect for spies, or just being an irritating pyro, or sniping from behind someone's team.

Well, I tryed playing on a full 24 man server, and my computer just shits a brick if there is more than 3 people in view at a time. I saw a rocket crawl past me on Hoodoo. I don't know what Valve did to TF2 lately, but it broke the game on my computer.

Have you updated your video card drivers at all?  Sorry if that doesn't sound more helpful, it's just the first thing that jumped into my mind.

It's a valid question, seeing as how half the time updating your drivers is what breaks everything.
