Two things that would make it easier to equip items:

1) Make pressing the item button bring up the class you're using, rather than the generic loadout screen.  If I'm playing Scout, I'm probably not going to change weapons on my heavy or sniper.

2) Only show one item, even if you have multiple.  There's no difference between C&D #1 and C&D #2.

If you hit M it takes you to the class you're playing.

No it doesn't.  It takes you to the loadout screen, presenting you with all of the classes.  Does for me, anyway.

If I'm playing a class, M will take me to that class' equipment screen.

Works fine for me, other than the fact that going to any of the loadout screens usually takes a few seconds longer than is really practical for changing in a big hurry.

Considering you can't change unless you are respawning, which usually means you are dead, I don't see what's too slow about that.

I didn't know about the keyboard command.  I just always hit ESC, changed my loadout, then picked a new class and then switched back to the old one to get the new equipment loaded.

Huh? You can go to the loadout screen while still alive.

Of course, in that case you'll just be standing around like an idiot, so maybe you were only speaking in terms of practicality?

You can also touch the locker to switch to your newly equipped weapons.

Learned this on accident last night.

Say.... after several weeks of most of us playing most nights of the week (where more = "> half"), does ANYBODY have a hat?

I have vague recollections that Lady Duke got one, but that's about it.

Just seems like that's a bit TOO rare. What's the point of the silly things if no one is ever going to see them? It's not like they represent any actual achievement, so they're far more of a 'novelty' than they are 'impressive'.

I have Soldier Hat.

Eveyrone kept killing me for it tonight.  :sadpanda:

You and me both.

As much as I love engineer, I hate the hat he got. As I said in-game the other night, I would have actually accepted a larger hitbox on my character, if it meant that the engie could have a ten gallon hat and whoop it around when he dances his victory jig.

Alas, it was not meant to be.  :sadpanda:

Well, they did say they'd add more hats.

I'm thinking about emailing them with my "non-class specific hat" idea.

EVERYONE SHOULD GET A COWBOY HAT.

I want everyone to have a cowboy hat, just so that a whole team can spend setup having a teammate put a comedy arrow through it.
