Yeah, the application thing would almost be useful for me if igoogle wasn't useful enough already. But options are nice!

I've been using Chrome for about a month and I basically hate it. If Firefox 3.5 didn't have this regrettable issue of locking up systems running Vista x64 I'd still be using that. Not that Chrome doesn't have some nice features, it's just stupid and obtuse about every basic feature.

I've been using Chrome ever since Firefox decided to start ignoring cookies 100% of the time, and not really had any problems with it.

My favorite part about the Chrome themes is that the "transparent" theme isn't transparent at all, while the default theme is automatically transparified in Win7.

I hate Firefox so much that if I ever have to use it I basically throw a fit. Chrome is probably the best browser that has ever existed.

Except it doesn't have a search bar, or transparent add-on support, or a logical way to have access to your bookmarks without toggling an option. Firefox may have a bit of bloat, but I have more than enough horsepower to make it invisible.

That's just Windows Aero, I would assume.

Except it doesn't have a search bar,
The address bar is the search bar. And if you search, say, Wikipedia's site, the next time you start typing "wiki" into the address bar you can hit Tab to search it from your address bar. Or any other site.

or transparent add-on support
This is true, but it's coming very soon.

or a logical way to have access to your bookmarks without toggling an option.
I have no idea what you're talking about since all mine are right here by default.

In Firefox I actually took the google bar out since it's functionally redundant.

Google Chrome is fun, but just doesn't feel finished enough or have the same options that Firefox has.  I hate how Firefox sucks up memory, but I have yet to find a browser as flexible as it is.

In short life without Adblock and Noscript is hell.

My point is right there is your screenshot. You have to activate the other bookmarks menu to make it usable.

Also the omni-bar is stupid compared to just having a search bar.

That folder? That folder is there by default. What is your complaint, that something has to sit over there for you to have bookmarks? I honestly don't understand. This isn't a weird option at all. You have a bookmarks bar and an Other Bookmarks folder for less used things. Does the folder bother you that much?

I actually can't think of anything I want from Firefox that I don't have in Chrome, so if you guys can list anything please do. Other than DownThemAll, which should be a browser default.

I guess NoScript and AdBlock+ are useful, but anything really annoying I just block forever via HOSTS so the ad doesn't pop up if I have to use IE or something, and NoScript is redundant if you have a good antivirus.

And how can you think that two bars are better than one? It's redundant. If you really want to feel like you're searching, hit Ctrl+E before you type or something. I don't get it. I don't get it! You guys like browsers to be craaaazy!

Other bookmarks was not there by default when I installed the program, and I don't like quick bar bookmarks, so I basically had to turn on bookmarks. Also, that new tab page? Useless beyond belief.

Ctrl+E gives you only the default search currently set to the omnibar. In firefox I can just drop down a menu containing any search I want, and then use it.

EDIT: Add-ons is the real deal breaker, though I am skeptical that an add based company like google will let me block adds as readily as firefox does.

Bal I just told you how to do that in the omnibar. Go to http://wikipedia.org. Search for anything. Then in your omnibar, type wiki. Wikipedia's URL should pop up. Hit tab. Search for what you want. You never have to go to Wikipedia again. It is literally the best thing imaginable. I had this set up in firefox via bookmark keywords because it is so much better. It works for the dictionary, for youtube, for facebook. For everything.

The new tab page is more bookmarks, basically, so yeah kinda useless. What new tab page isn't basically useless? That's kind of a dumb complaint, I think. Are you on the old one or the new one? The new one is a lot better (it has 8 sites rather than 9 and generally looks better).
