Twenty Years

Is that all? Seems older.

(joke about "But officer, she looked older than twenty! I swear!")

I wrote a letter to my local UPN station when they stopped airing Sailor Moon in syndication. Is this the secret confessions thread or am I lost?

I found Madoka on Hulu.
I was told my mind might be blown and it was even though I tried to hold it in.

Man, Berserk sure does end on the absolute worst note of any show ever.

Which did do a good job of accomplishing their goal of me reading the manga now but jesus.

So, Fate/Zero is *so fucking good.* The last thing I was expecting out of a TYPE-MOON work was an exciting dogfight but I'll be damned, I just got one.

Brodoka wondering into the shot at the end was pretty cool.

Since I just finished the game I started watching Persona 4: the Animation, and three episodes in, I'm not sure I've seen something with this much slavish devotion to the source material since Sin City.  The music and most of the dialogue is straight out of the game, they keep the date transition screen exactly as is as days change during the show, and the eye catch is the status screen as the protagonist's five major stats raise episode by episode.  So far the only change or addition of note is that Chie has a big ol' puppy dog and they made the protagonist hilariously fucking deadpan as he observes everything happening around him.

Which is basically to say, it's pretty good!  I'm hoping the middle portion of the show is just Yu fucking around and raising social links.

According to my friend, they even held the final episode hostage by not airing it on TV and saving it for the DVD release, which gives you some of that honest JUMP THROUGH HOOPS TO SEE THE TRUE ENDING feel.

Niku, you will love the rest of that show. Yu's deadpan everything is the best, and only gets better.

So the last episode of Madoka is now on Hulu. I feel like I need to save it for a special occasion. Like when I really need to cry or something.

Watch it anyway. The last time I left a final episode, I still hadn't watched it five years later.

I'm enjoying this new Lupin. It's slick, stylish, and fun to listen to.
