As far as I remember it's pretty typical early 90s sci-fi action. It's fun but not deep. I'm not entirely sure if it's worth $14, but I'm notoriously cheap.

Eh, more like 19.99 with shipping.

I bought alot of anime series for cheap when they were around 15-20 dollars at the half off anime sale. A few I regret though some are good.. It's 50/50 with anime.. Sometimes you get gold sometimes you get silver.

Regarding the current Haruhi arc:
I was half expecting them to run a 15,500-part episode.  If they ran episodes nonstop, it would only take 264 days at 24.5 minutes/episode to reach the current episode location.
Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised by either one.  August 31st isn't a normal air date, but I wouldn't put it past them to score a special airtime.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is FINALLY starting to diverge from the old series, and into manga territory.

There's also a new OP. It's not as good.  ::(:

"FINALLY"? Dude, it was like, ten episodes. The first show was already three quarters done.

Speaking of which: I'm looking forward to this. The original show was pretty good, really, except towards the end. Once it completely diverged from the anime, the show sucked pretty hard, introducing an anticlimactic true antagonist and too much raining shit without the fun that had fueled the first parts of the series.

By contrast, the manga introduced Major Armstrong's badass sister. And Super Sloth.

They were basically the same up until about episode 13. There are currently 15 episodes. At 1 episode a week... yeah, that was an eternity.

The Fullmetal Alchemist on Hulu is a few weeks behind, though it has at last reached past the point where the last series and the manga diverged, and it's nice to see the Xing characters do their kung-fu.

But that's not important. What IS important is that from now on the series is going to be SUUUUUUPAH. Kazuki Yao has the best voice.

Watched the entirety of the newer Guyver anime over the last couple days and I enjoyed it a whole lot except for when Mizuki whines (which is pretty much every time she's on screen).

So is it something to bother watching or not?
