Statement: KotoR and KotoR2. In that order. Meatbag.

Get the restoration patch for 2 though.

Can you do that with the Steam version?

Yes, you just have to turn off Steam's automatic updates for it so Steam doesn't overwrite the mod.

Really more of a question for Google.

So Good Old Games is having a massive, fuck-all sale, and is even giving Torchlight away for free.

A lot of the usual RPG suspects at 60% off.  Grimrock is $6, System Shock 2 (which I guess counts as an RPG if Mass Effect and Fallout 3 do) is $4.

Oh hey, and Mongrel, did you ever get Flight of the Amazon Queen for your pulp games list?  Because it's currently free.

And so is Stargunner.

EDIT: Oh hey, nevermind "currently" free; a quick check on Wikipedia reveals that Flight of the Amazon Queen is ALWAYS free on the ScummVM downloads page.  (Wikipedia says it's Free Software, while the ScummVM site and wiki use the annoyingly ambiguous "freeware" moniker; I can't find the license offhand but I wouldn't bet against GPLv2.)

And also it appears that Stargunner is always available free-as-in-beer too, but not -as-in-speech.

Good Old Games is currently doing a crazy kind of sale that I haven't seen before (because I only decided to use the internet to buy things this year).

Something to look at, I suppose.

It's cute and all but it has the same problem as all these Woot-off type sales, which is that any decent deal is going to disappear before you can even get the page to load.

At the rate at which Jack Keane 2 is(n't) selling, there will be nothing of interest to see for the next 13 hours. Everybody go to bed, sale over.

EDIT: haha people have started writing positive reviews in an effort to help get it off the front page

Jackin' to the Fire Within will be something to remember next time somebody asks why there aren't enough pulp adventure games.

It went to Chaos Engine and Reus, which sold at a decent pace, and then for an instant I saw Jack Keane 2 again, for free, 16 copies, which disappeared immediately.

I don't know whether I should shake my head or clap.

Aaaanyway, apparently the games are on a loop, if they were gonna go on sale they already have at least once, and the full list in in this thread. I'd pick up the Riddick games for three bucks but that's about it I think.

Jack Keane 2 is up again, and although it's only 25 sales, I'm not sure it's going to run out.

That is actually what is happening and its why getting the good deals have been nearly impossible.

I should probably not have deleted that message. Didn't realize there was a reply to it.

Restoring context to Smiler's post: my suggestion was running an auto-page-refresher for games worth buying. I guess I'm not the only one who had that idea.

Damnit, Sei. Your avatar made me go into Hatoful Boyfriend flashbacks and I missed a sale.

Witcher 2 is pretty fantastic, Brutal Legend makes me laugh, Fez is a neat puzzle platformer and I've never gotten around to playing Deus Ex, Planescape: Torment, Psychonauts, or Rayman Origins but hear good things.

Started Torchlight and enjoyed it but haven't finished it; bought System Shock 2 but haven't tried it yet.
